Re: A picture of Rios's jacknife backhand?

At the very least, can someone describe how he hit it?

What made it different visually in comparison to, say, Safin's jacknife?

Besides the obvious left hand right hand difference of course.

A picture of Rios's jacknife backhand?

Does anybody here have a picture of Rios in the apex of executing his jump backhand?

I'd like to see what it looks like.

Andre Agassi's Strategy at Roland Garros in 1999?

What was Agassi's strategy in 1999 that allowed him to win the title on his third final appearance?

I was too young to remember it.

During last weeks coverage, they'd show a few clips of...

Re: Is Showing emotions ..Good??

Natas81, I agree.

Federer is not totally emotionless (c.f. Safin). But, when he wins a major title, he goes insane.

Safin is quite emotional on court (c.f. Federer). Interestingly, when he...

Re: Is Showing emotions ..Good??

Depends.

A "come on" on a winner you hit that was truly excellent is fine by me.

Will Nadal succumb to The Defender's Syndrome?

First, let me explain what a defender is.

A defender is a player who feels that due to his rank MUST win. In contrast to a contender, who has nothing to lose, a defender feels that he has...

Re: Can someone post a pix of JMac in pirate pants?

1. John McEnroe wearing the pirate pants was hilarious.
2. I like the old 1970s-1980s short-shorts style. It's cool.

Re: Federer vs. Moya, Who Will WIN?!?!?!?!?

I believe that Roger can defeat Carlos.

Roger has been straight-setting his opponents. Moya has been playing two four-setters and one five-setter.

If both Roger and Dahveed win, then we will...

Re: can there be a surprise winner this year?

Roland Garros has always been home to "surprise" winners.

Re: so far, who s the most disappointing and the most satisfying player to his fans??

Satisfying? Probably Rogi. Three Masters Series events and three other smaller titles before the second major title of the year?

Disappointing? Probably Marat.

Re: Donald Young loses in 1st Round of a Junior ITF ....

A. He's an American playing on a surface unnatural to him.

B. He's fifteen.

C. He was unfairly overhyped.

Re: A tennis question........

Use this as your secret weapon. The one thing that nobody, except maybe aceit and I, knows.

And, seriously, how did you play that kind of a marathon match?

Re: Wilson nCode Six-One Tour

I'm pretty sure Roger's racquet is a paintjob.

It looks far more similar to a Prostaff Classic 6.0 than a nSix-One in ONE key aspect...

Re: Houston field vs Barcelona field

In terms of career high rankings and major title success, then yes, I agree - the Houston Quarterfinalists are stronger than their Barcelona counterparts.

But, Barcelona is a clay-court title...

Re: Can a serve-volleyer win Roland Garros?!

In that case, no, I don't think a pure serve and volleyer (ie. NOT all court) can win Roland Garros now.

Dent has improved his net game, but he is still not quite as strong as Rafter or Sampras...

Re: Federer needs a coach!!

Roger does quite well without a coach. He's mentally strong enough to do so.

Besides, he became the first man in sixteen years to win three major titles in a year. Moreover, he was one title shy...
