Re: Wimbledon R3: (22) Troicki def. (Q) Brown, 6-4, 7-6 (3), 4-6, 6-3

I felt the same: one part of me wanted Brown to win (so flamboyant and talented, but with zero consistency), the other rooted for Viktor (who was ranked about no. 900, exactly one year ago). So, I...

Re: Wimbledon R3: (22) Troicki def. (Q) Brown, 6-4, 7-6 (3), 4-6, 6-3

You can't be serious; Troicki beat Borna Coric and Marin Cilic about ten times in the last 6 or so weeks, and I do consider them decent players. Don't you?

Yep, it is completely clear that you have no knowledge about tennis and only watch it on TV, or read about it on your iPad or the like. Have a nice day.

Re: Wimbledon R3: (1)Novak Djokovic def. (27)Bernard Tomic 6-3 6-3 6-3

May be. On the other hand, the few comments you've made so far have been so predictable that they are way too boring.

Re: Wimbledon R2: [Q] Brown def. [10] Nadal, 7-5 3-6 6-4 6-4

Because Federer has a huge amount of talent (probably the real GOAT) and has always played real tennis, not a weird combination of muscle grinding and protein-enhanced pushing and moon balling. ...

Yup. Toni seems to be gone with Fuentes out of the picture.

Oh, yes. the fist pumping was very impressive. The biceps, unfortunately, are almost non-existent.

Re: Wimbledon R2: [Q] Brown def. [10] Nadal, 7-5 3-6 6-4 6-4

Well, may be, we'll see. But at least it was the final of a GS. And the winner was a great player, Wawrinka. In this case the loser was a two time Wimbledon winner (??? how) and the winner was a...

Worry not, that guy's bonkers. Everything is for real for him, even apparitions.

Re: Wimbledon R2: [Q] Brown def. [10] Nadal, 7-5 3-6 6-4 6-4

I agree 100%. And there are some pretty legitimate issues to be raised here. Some explanations as to how and why he managed to beat the grass court king here with his complete lack of talent and...

Re: Wimbledon R2: [Q] Brown def. [10] Nadal, 7-5 3-6 6-4 6-4

Probably not around any more. Gone to see his Master. I remember one of them feeding us a line about Nadal's killer serve that would be the mug's secret weapon in Wimbledon. It sounded funny, of...

Re: Wimbledon R2: [Q] Brown def. [10] Nadal, 7-5 3-6 6-4 6-4

Oh, just to add: there's a shitload of young and fearless aggressive players that will try their luck after this fiasco. it'll be sad to watch.

Re: Wimbledon R2: [Q] Brown def. [10] Nadal, 7-5 3-6 6-4 6-4

No, this is not so simple any more... Someone will have to account for this mug's winning two Wimbledon titles. How on earth could this mug, who is now only 29, and five years older than Fed, have...

Re: Is Novak unstoppable this Wimbledon? Can he be stopped at all?

Judging by the multitude of responses to your enlightened opening thread, I reckon that you are aware that the best reaction is to simply erase it. Because the question you ask is simply very, very...

Re: Djokovic d. Kohlschreiber 6-4 6-4 6-4

You talk about pushing. The stats say that Djokovic had 36 winners and 21 UE, and 20/28 net approaches. Kohl was way below in all departments. So, why do you keep yakking on like this? 28 net...

Re: Wawrinka: I'm the only one who can push Djokovic back on court

Ok, I really like Wawa and his game and he deservedly beat Novak in the French. But I think that this time he went just a little too far, he's almost done a yakety-yak, implying that he is the ONLY...

Re: Queens F: Murray def. Anderson 6-3 6-4

Yeah, the stars are aligned. Andy M. seems a shoe-in for Wimbledon. I hope I won't jinx him, as I said the same thing about Novak before the French :(

Re: WWW Queens SF: Murray vs Troicki

r

Murray should be able to beat Viktor single-handedly. Without using his double-handed BH, etc. No contest. Unless Viktor summons the HARP device, that is.

Re: Djokovic victim of HAARP?

No, we need this kind of court jester, makes us laugh and relieves tension. A clown or a jester, whatever. I will laugh myself to sleep this night! Let him be.

Re: Queens R2: Troicki def. Cilic 6-7(8-10), 6-2, 6-3

Both Murray and Troicki look like film stars when compared with Cilic, who's all angular and whose look appears rather dim. Scout's honor.

That was a fluke, it's clear now. A fluke, and I like Marin, but have to say this.

Re: Queens R1: Dolgopolov def. Nadal 63 67(6) 64

Fair enough, thanks for your reply. I never said that 'a piece of advice' was bad. That is 'good' English. But, unless I am completely mistaken you wrote in one of the previous posts 'an advice'...

Re: Queens R1: Dolgopolov def. Nadal 63 67(6) 64

Dear Forehand,

I haven't understood anything you posted. About that first bit: when a noun is countable it means that it can be prefixed with an article (an advice*, which is not grammatically...

Re: Queens R1: Dolgopolov def. Nadal 63 67(6) 64

 let's start by getting one thing out of the way: "advice" is not countable and you should use it with "a piece of..." or smth similar. Regardless of my excellent Spanish, I am sure...
