Re: Tipsarevic: Federer would not stand a chance playing Novak from last year

IMO, if Fed had to face Murray instead of M. Zverev, he wouldn't have won the AO17 title. Murray would have at least tire Fed much, much more than Zverev. So, it's kind of true. About the Djokovic...

Re: ATP Miami 2017 R16 [5] Nadal def. Mahut 6-4 7-6(4)

Oh my... talking about winning 5 more slams after beating Mahut. 35 years old journeyman, Nicolas Mahut. No disrespect to Mahut, he's a good grass-courter and all, but I mean... It's Mahut. On the...

Re: Monfils: "Winning Roland Garros title is my dream"

Then someone need to drill it into his head, that if this is really his dream and he wants to make it true, that he should train harder to improve his fitness AND stop clowning around on the court....

Re: Shouldn't we all root for Dimitrov to win AO17 now?

Well, I guess that is that.

Winning that 4th set showed that Dimitrov is better than before, and in the 5th set, he had a chance to rise to a champion's level but... My apologies. I guess some of...

Re: Shouldn't we all root for Dimitrov to win AO17 now?

Not good enough cause he spends too much time on the back court? That's exactly what Nadal/Djokovic/Murray have been doing for all these years. And you can't fault him for being "not as good as...

Re: Shouldn't we all root for Dimitrov to win AO17 now?

If he gets to the final, he can grind Fed to the ground and outlast him.

Re: Shouldn't we all root for Dimitrov to win AO17 now?

The match-up sounds more exciting than it really is. But, I understand if you from want to see it, having never seen it. Can't blame you.

Re: Shouldn't we all root for Dimitrov to win AO17 now?

Right?! The thought of someone young and new, that is a proven slam champion, "scaring" the top guys (and their fans), is exciting.

Re: Shouldn't we all root for Dimitrov to win AO17 now?

For the short-term. You can't expect Fed to sustain his level here at the AO for the rest of the year, let alone several years forward. He's great. Maybe even the greatest. But, he's old and tiring...

Re: Shouldn't we all root for Dimitrov to win AO17 now?

That's it. It not that Fed, Nadal, and Wawrinka aren't great, they are. But they're old. Djokovic and Murray are too comfortable, and they're (kind of) old too.

Re: Shouldn't we all root for Dimitrov to win AO17 now?

Okay, if Nadal has a bad day in the SF, and Fed/Wawrinka also has a bad day in the Final, would you say Dimitrov, then, is good enough, if he can take advantage of the situation and win AO? Or would...

Re: Shouldn't we all root for Dimitrov to win AO17 now?

I can understand that. But aren't we all tennis fans first, player fans second?

Disclaimer : I am NOT saying Dimitrov = Tennis. I mean because he's the next generation in line.

There's something more to 2017 Dimitrov. Be more positive, mate.

Re: Shouldn't we all root for Dimitrov to win AO17 now?

Nadal seems more easily rattled nowadays, and hit shots that are barely crossing the net and reaching the service line. I'm hoping Dimitrov can build something on that.

Re: Shouldn't we all root for Dimitrov to win AO17 now?

While it would also be a great story (especially for Fed and his fans), I'm still rooting for a new star.

Why don't you think he deserves it?

Shouldn't we all root for Dimitrov to win AO17 now?

I mean, come on, tennis needs this. If Dimitrov somehow wins AO17, his confidence could shoot up and finally challenge Djokovic and Murray who are too comfortable at the top. Maybe it also could...

Re: WWW AO R4: [6] Gael Monfils vs [9] Rafael Nadal

Let's go, Gael!

I'm gonna jinx Nadal, even though I don't believe in jinxes, with all my vcash. Monfils needs all the help he can get, to win AO17.

Re: I could play on until I am 40, says Djokovic

He could. But, he won't.

After 35, he'll be losing left, right, and center to journeymen. He won't like that, so he'll quit before it happens. Djokovic's game strength are heavily based on his...

Re: Andy Murray Aiming to Topple Novak Djokovic from Top Spot

It's exciting seeing a player that has never been #1, going for it. Especially, against a dominant reigning #1.
