Re: Whose Fedal's takedown is the most impressive? Rank these players tennis feats

My number 1 is Davydenko's wins over Federer and Nadal at the 2009 YEC and 2010 Doha.

Re: WTF On Other Surfaces?

How about they make it like the Battle of the Surfaces exhibition match between Federer and Nadal, except that they make a quarter of the court hard, a quarter clay, a quarter grass and a quarter...

Re: How impressive is Nadal's 50-29 record vs. rest of top 4?

It's a compliment that people are willing to dismiss Nadal's clay record. "He's more or less unbeatable on the surface so there's no point in talking about it."

You must be pretty damn good to...

Re: Robbie Konig agrees with Gilles Simon on the prizemoney

Even though it's more than likely true that men bring in more money than women due to their popularity (perhaps somebody could find some black market ticket prices for the men's singles final and...

Re: Queens F: Cilic def. Nalbandian 6-7(3) 4-3 (Disqualified & rips the ATP as well)

:haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

I'm literally laughing out loud here because
1. Nalbandian just did the dumbest thing I've seen on a court in a long time
2. The people in this thread...

Re: Nadal could be a Dai-Yokozuna after the French Open, Djokovic a Yokozuna, and Mur

Anyone with half a brain and a little bit of sense knows that this yokozuna rating system is one of the best objective rating systems around to classify the strength of a player.

Re: Dutch Politician Goes On Trial for "Hate Speech"

I agree that he is wrong in that. I also do not believe that your thinking should or will make it a criminal offence. I do believe that the thinking of the judges in Holland will determine whether it...

Re: Dutch Politician Goes On Trial for "Hate Speech"

You make a distinction between Islamism and Islam. It is very important to point out that Geert Wilders does not, not in the slightest.

Re: Dutch Politician Goes On Trial for "Hate Speech"

As a Dutch person I can say you have no clue what you are on about, on both points.

Re: An obscure Andre fact inspired this question

It might not be important or special (both of which haven't been implied by the OP by the way), but I at least find these little bits of trivia interesting.

Anyway, I know that the media dubbed...

Re: Poll: Is a slam a slam?

In a parallel universe a slam might not be a slam, but in this universe a slam is definitely a slam.
Moreover, a non-slam is not a slam though this may or may not be the case in said parallel...

Re: Who really benefited at Wimbledon after 2002? Nadal or Federer?

Just letting you know that people like you make it very hard for people like me - people who like to watch Nadal play - to say that they like to watch Nadal play.

Not sure you really care though.

Re: How many Wimbledons would Lendl have won between 2003 and 2010?

In that case Fed would have only 4 so he'd win in 2007 as well, giving Lendl 5 more slams for a total of 14 and the career grand slam making him better than Pete.

Lendl is the GOAT.

Re: Maybe Pete just didn't try hard enough

I think I found a repost of the article and it shows my memory is not that great. The Sampras thing was mentioned in an article in which it was suggested that Federer should use a bigger frame

I remember once having read a Sampras interview in which he says he now regrets not having made more adjustments to his game in order to win in Paris. Among the things he could have tried he...

Re: How can anyone argue that Federer is better than Nadal?

Yes, 3 >> 1

2010 Nadal 1 ranking
2010 Federer 3 ranking

So Fed is doing better in this department.
