On a minor note, Canadian player Pavel Krainik qualified for a futures event in Turkey. He drew a 4th seeded player from Great Britain, L.Glasspool

Grass season should be at least 2 months long. In fact, make the Canadian Open a grass court event. Canada has roots with the Brits and the Brits love their grass court tennis!
