Re: Who Is The Most Overrated Slamless Wonder On MTF?

Don't think it's proper to sound the alarm yet on Kei. Same with Divatrov. Cilic won, so can Divatrov.

Re: Average age of top 10 (year-end ranking)

Wow. Highest since 1974. When you had Ken Rosewell and Laver in the top 10. Even then it was not even a year more.

Re: RG 15 - Un pour tous, tous pour un -- beats Granollers 62 76 63. R3 vs Dzumhur

Fed ties Borg! 3rd all time on the dirt. Was Connors ever in the top 3 for slam wins on Hard? If so, Fed will be the second to be in the top 3 on all three surfaces.

Re: Roland Garros R2: [WC] Mahut def. [24] Gulbis 6-3 3-6 7-5 6-3

 Go Mahut.

Matches his best slam performance at 33. Strong era. :)

Re: Guillermo Vilas calculated as 1975 World Number 1 [ATP REFUSE THE TRUTH]

I wouldn't recommend doing it at Flushing Meadows for obvious reasons. ;)

Re: Guillermo Vilas calculated as 1975 World Number 1 [ATP REFUSE THE TRUTH]

It's less significant now, because he's been surpassed, but the real question is his weeks top 3, top 4, top 5, etc. Stats that haven't been challenged since the days of Lendl. And even so it...

Re: Guillermo Vilas calculated as 1975 World Number 1 [ATP REFUSE THE TRUTH]

622 clay wins is absolutely massive. Nobody else (Dull included), has even sniffed 500.

Re: Guillermo Vilas calculated as 1975 World Number 1 [ATP REFUSE THE TRUTH]

Vilas has a couple of massive records. Why not recognize them? Still the most wins outside and the most wins on Clay. He might lose the outside one (Fed is 42 behind), but he won't lose the clay...

Re: Guillermo Vilas calculated as 1975 World Number 1 [ATP REFUSE THE TRUTH]

Different era. The tour was not as consolidated then as now. They had two year end championships, etc. This is why it's significant for some things, (especially tournaments), that they are achieved...

Re: Fed stats - with most weeks in top-2, 3, 5 and 10

Strange. His wiki table count says 62, even though it's not supposed to update during a tournament.

You're correct. 61 before Falla. Needs another win to tie Borg.

Re: Fed stats - with most weeks in top-2, 3, 5 and 10

Including Falla, he's at 63. Tied for third all time on clay with Borg (63), and behind Nadal (66), and Vilas (75).

Re: It is time to admit that 2014 is the dawn of a new weak era

We had a strong era with something like what, 2 slam winners not named Fed/Nadal/Djokovic. Now we're in a weak era.

Re: RG 15 - Un pour tous, tous pour un -- Beats Falla 63 63 64. R2 vs Granollers

The coming from behind part is scary. Hope RG gets on the ball here.

Re: 2015 Roland Garros R1: (2) Federer def. Falla 6-3 6-3 6-4

Goaterer ties Borg on Clay. One more for third all time, behind only Vilas and Dull.

Re: When Djokovic knocks him out in the quarters where will Nadal be ranked?

Draw is extremely helpful to Rafa for staying in the top 10. Just has to win 4 matches here in RG. There was only a 1/8 chance of this happening.

As they already mentioned Cilic is irrelevant to...

Re: RG 15 - Un pour tous, tous pour un

No, likely he means he went back - to Switzerland on his way from Rome, and then came out to Paris. They'll likely follow when the matches start.
