Re: Commonwealth of Aus. Open SF: Andrew Murray OBE def. Tomas Berdych 6-7(6) 6-0 6-3

I don't know exactly what expletives Kim Sears shouted about Berdshit during the match but whatever they were, I agree!

Re: Tomic "The scheduling was like ridiculous this year"

I would pay top dollar for tickets to that.

Re: Australian Open R4: Kyrgios def. Seppi 5-7 4-6 6-3 7-6(5) 8-6, saves MP

This is why I love it when the Aussies lose. So too go the 'Fanatics.' I heard that this unsportsmanlike mob are paid by some marketing company to cheer, sing and chant for the Aussies. Not sure how...

Re: AO R4: Berdych def. Tomic 6-2 7-6(3) 6-2

Tomic is soooooo overrated. He was never in with a chance against Berdshit. What a dull match. I thought it was excruciating. Tomic is so stiff and upright when he hits the ball like he's got a stick...

Re: Australian Open R4: Kyrgios def. Seppi 5-7 4-6 6-3 7-6(5) 8-6, saves MP

I under estimated Kyrgios. I really thought a couple of times that the match was over for him - first the match point against him but also a few errors in the 5th looked like he might capitulate. He...

Re: Aussie open lost some magic

I live in Sydney but like Melbourne a lot and have been to the Aus Open a few times. Melbourne's sporting venues are centrally located and easy to access quickly via public transport unlike Sydney....

Re: AO R3 : Seppi def. Federer 6-4 7-6(5) 4-6 7-6(5)

[QUOTE=Mateya;26891073]:hug:
I still can't believe that Seppi, a man who had one of the worst tiebreak records (almost Haase-like), beats Roger in a grand slam including two tiebraks!

I'm...

Re: Aussie open lost some magic

It is the bastard child of slams if you factor in the crap coverage from Channel 7 in Australia and their on court interview shenanigans. Asking Bouchard to do a 'twirl' after her match is...

Re: Should Tio Toni be refrained to be in the crowd when Nadal is playing ?

No coaches, no wives, no friends - nope. Players can have no one in their supporter's box. That would be the only way to remove the coaching element.

Re: Nadal's back injury, what caused it and how it will affect his games from now on?

It's always good to know there is an injury excuse for Nadal's loss - especially happy to know that he was injured before the match started so that poor Stani can't get any credit for the amazing...

Re: Would Waw have had any chance if Rafa wasn't injured?

I wonder why Rafa gets away with so many infractions. Umpires/tournament officials may be reluctant to penalize Rafa all the time for time violations because his routine may be related to OCD so it's...

Re: Would Waw have had any chance if Rafa wasn't injured?

Stan was playing well enough to win even if Nadal wasn't injured*. The injury and related timeouts disrupted the flow of the match and Stan eventually went off the boil like so many players in this...

Re: AO Final: Stanislas Wawrinka def. Rafael Nadal 63 62 36 63

Nadal will do anything to win, even cheat by taking dubious MTOs to disrupt his opponents momentum and he is well known for it. This is why he gets booed and why many do not believe he is injured -...

Re: AO Final: Stanislas Wawrinka def. Rafael Nadal 63 62 36 63

Oh, thank you for reminding me about non-calendar slam etc... even more reason to celebrate Wawrinka's huge victory. I actually thought that if Nadal won tonight he stood a very good chance of...

Re: AO Final: Stanislas Wawrinka def. Rafael Nadal 63 62 36 63

Re: AO Final: Stanislas Wawrinka def. Rafael Nadal 63 62 36 63

Yes they did because they didn't believe he was injured. He took the time out when Wawrinka was about to serve, kind of out of the blue. Like the injury was on the spot and no sign of it at all...

Re: AO Final: Stanislas Wawrinka def. Rafael Nadal 63 62 36 63

Nadal was a little unlucky that Wawrinka didn't totally crumble mentally and choke like so many of his opponents do. It was kind of a scary match to watch at times. I wonder - Wawrinka got pretty...

Re: AO Final: Stanislas Wawrinka def. Rafael Nadal 63 62 36 63

I'm not so sure that the whooping Rafa got in the first set didn't cause his injury.

Re: AO Final: Stanislas Wawrinka def. Rafael Nadal 63 62 36 63

I didn't expect Stan to win this tonight either before the match or when he started losing focus and choking in the 3rd and early in the 4th set. He played some really good tennis in the first couple...

Re: 2014 Live commentary thread vol4

Admittedly I don't watch too many Nadal matches these days because I can't stand him but I don't think he's moving all that badly -- it's just too bad that Wawrinka is doing too many stupid things...

Re: 2014 Live commentary thread vol4

Stan is choking - he allowed himself to get distracted by Nadal's 'injury' and all the rubbish associated with it. He should know that Nadal is notorious for such antics and prepared himself mentally...

Re: 2014 Live commentary thread vol4

That's about the nicest thing I could think of to describe someone whose career has been built on bending the rules and effectively cheating.
