Re: Should Koenig-Goodall Commentate on Slams?

I have grown to really quite like the Koenig-Goodall commentary due at ATP tournaments. I wouldn't mind listening to different commentators for ITF events. Courier isn't too bad and neither is...

Oh Jamesy...the grass court season can't come any sooner.

Re: Chris Froome fires shots at Federer over security comments

Irrelevant comparison by Froome really. Different sports and different cultures (close spectator contact is allowed by the cycling authorities but aren't in tennis, football etc).

Not to mention...

Re: 2015 French Open Court Speed Discussion

This. It's also the primary reason why he fares better on outdoor hard courts as opposed to indoor ones.

Court diversity should be welcomed (speaking of which, the change to 100% ryegrass at...

Re: RG R1: Youzhny bashed himself in the head again and retired lt. Dzumhur 26 16

Personally I think it should count as racquet abuse and warrants a warning for a code violation. Then he wouldn't have done it twice in the same match.

At least there was no blood from his...

Re: When a player's 2nd serve wrongly called out, why...

Indeed. While I understand the point about the implications on the server's rhythm, it seems the application rules in their present configuration leads to inconsistencies. I'd be for a change so that...

Re: 2015 Roland Garros R1: (2) Federer def. Falla 6-3 6-3 6-4

Solid performance from Federer, especially on serve. Onto the next round he goes. Falla acquitted himself well; his play on the break points prevented the scoreline from being lopsided.

A note about...

Re: RF on Nadal's 10th:"It would be an incredible, sick number to achieve&he deserves

It's not a reactionary response to the draw; actually if you have followed Federer's press conferences throughout the clay court season (including Rome) he's been maintaining that Rafa is the man to...

Re: Roland Garros 2015 - FQR (Live comm. + Results)

Had a busy day and just managed to catch up on the results. Really happy for Edmund. It would be nice if he could play in the main draws for all of the Slams this year - I think he should definitely...

Yes, Montreal 2009 if my memory serves me correctly.

Re: Gulbis 1-11 So Far This Year

I did not realise it was quite that bad. Clearly he needs to change something in match training or execution.

Great achievement, but could he do it on a cold, wet night in Stoke?

Re: Is Clayray a genuine threat at the FO?

Raising a toast in hoping that Kim and Andy's marriage may be everlasting. Tying the knot has done wonders for his clay court tennis.

On a serious note, I think he has every right to be thought as a...

Re: Madrid R2: Kyrgios def. [1] Federer, 6-7(2) 7-6(5) 7-6(12) [saved 2 MP]

Too early to say for sure but this win and his win over Rafa could come to be seen as 'passing of the torch' moments in the annals of history.

I really expected Federer to do better. Dissapointing...

Re: WWW Istanbul Final (1) Federer vs. (3) Cuevas

With all respect to Cuevas who has had a great week, I think it would be good for the tournament if Federer were to win this inaugural event.

Judging by his play in this tournament, I suspect Roger...

Re: Who is more talented? J Groove or Nishikori?

I can't possibly think why Nishikori wouldn't enter any of Groove's tournaments other than the fact that he is scared of becoming JG's pigeon in the H2H.

Kei may have had his best performance under...

Re: WWW ? Istanbul QF: (1)Roger Federer Vs. Daniel Gimeno-Traver

Re: Is RG the tournament where Ferrer has the real shot to end losing streak vs Feder

I think it would be easier for Ferrer to win 2 sets in a Bo3 match rather than 3 sets in a Bo5 match as the latter would require a longer dip in Roger's level of play. Then again stranger abberations...

Re: nadal out of top 8 by 2015

Despite some early blips I'd be surprised if Nadal didn't finish in the top 4 this year. Rafa's position in the live race isn't good but there are still many points to accrue in best of 5 set...

Re: Barcelona Final: (1) Nishikori def. Andujar 6-4 6-4

Congrats Kei! Andujar can also be very proud of his efforts this week.

Hmm I had a sneaking suspicion it would be 6-4 6-4.

Re: WWW Barcelona F: [1] Kei Nishikori vs Pablo Andujar

Has to be Kei's to lose. I'll be a little generous to Andujar and say it will just be a difference of 1 break in each set.

Re: Players who play/played as gracefully as Federer?

Stan Smith, by my reckoning. Especially when you consider his height.

Re: Pat Cash: "Federer isn't the best because he cannot beat Nadal"

Of course it's very difficult to compare the competitiveness between eras over time - the confluence of different factors changes the context of the debate to one that doesn't have a satisfactory...
