Re: US Open 3R: (32) Fabio FOGnini def. (8) Rafael Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-4 6-3 6-4

The only real foot wrong Nadal put in the return games was in the last two points.

Re: US Open 3R: (32) Fabio FOGnini expelled (8) Rafael Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-4 6-3 6-4

Strangely Nadal didn't seem THAT far from a top level here, almost like he was finding something. Still would have been thumped by Djokovic had he reached QF, but it feels like he could be...

Re: This Djokovic draw is the biggest joke of all time

This one doesn't really affect it- 2015dal would have been lucky to avoid bakery products

Re: US Open 3R: (32) Fabio FOGnini expels (8) Rafael Nadal 3-6 4-6 6-4 6-3 6-4

Tennis won :yeah:

Nadal didn't even play bad tbh, 30W 19UE on a HC which favours defenders isn't bad- only shock was he made two cheap ones on the last 2 points when Fog was tight as fuck and likely...

Re: USO R3: [27] Chardy def. [7] Ferrer, 7-6(6) 4-6 6-3 6-1

Good result.

Ferrer a prime example again of ranking meaning shit when it comes to a draw- highest seed of the quarter yet probably Djokovic's easiest possible SF.

Tsonga or Paire to make SF here...

Re: Who should play Davis Cup for Australia in the SF?

Nedovyesov has far more to his game than Ward

Re: Who should play Davis Cup for Australia in the SF?

Ward hasn't a hope of a singles win unless it's Groth (tree-trunk, bot, gets dragged into breakers, deja vu)

Re: Who should play Davis Cup for Australia in the SF?

Tomic won't be allowed back in during this dispute with TA.

The squad will be Kyrgios, Kokk, Hewitt, Groth like the last round.

Kokk and Kyrgios are the logical picks on the opening day. Andy would...

Re: Who do the haters want Djokovic to Verse?

It's hard really to create a tough draw because the quality's so sparse on tour at the moment.

For Djokovic though? A toughest possible draw? I'd go with

R1 Haas (if healthy)
R2 Kyrgios
R3...

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 25

Has anyone ever known a time like now where breaks of serve are just completely donated at will? Missed 1st serves, unforced errors, double faults?

It used to be actually tough to break your...

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 25

Cilic hates great defenders who put the ball back in play with plenty on it, hence why Ferrer's always given him a problem, and Djokovic far more so.

Re: Rank Federer's level on grass at Wimbledon (2003 til now)

It's actually quite tough to place 2003-08. 2008 I agree with PileDrive Federer roared through on grass. Although his level in the first two sets of the final up until 0-40 in the third was dismal,...

Re: This Djokovic draw is the biggest joke of all time

Ferrer making SF despite not playing any tennis since pre-Wimbledon would top this off. I thought Nadal doing that in '09 was crazy but he's Nadal, this is Ferrer(!)

Re: USO R3: Djokovic def. Seppi 6-3 7-5 7-5

Seppi gave an alright account of himself. He's not got really any weapons as a whole, just a hard working grinder so expecting him to take sets here wasn't realistic.

Re: WWW USO R4: (1) Djokovic vs (23) Bautista Agut

Noletards and Fedtards can't obviously talk about recent draws because they both got RBA in this stage but RBA even being in this many last 16s of slams just shows how weak the tour is at the moment....

Re: Would Djokovic have ever won Wimbledon if his prime began at same time as Federer

The more intriguing question is if NADAL was the same age as Federer, as his best could actually challenge/topple a peak Fed on grass.

Re: Would Djokovic have ever won Wimbledon if his prime began at same time as Federer

He'd have as many as Roddick.

Roddick drew the short straw.

Re: USO R2: [24] Tomic def. [WC] Hewitt, 6-3 6-2 3-6 5-7 7-5 (saves 2 MP)

Re: USO R2: [24] Tomic def. [WC] Hewitt, 6-3 6-2 3-6 5-7 7-5 (saves 2 MP)

This was so painful. Tomic just stopped caring and went for broke on the 2mps, but Hewitt choked horrendously serving for it- 3 UEs and a DF. No first serves towards the end too, think only two in...

Re: USO R3: Paire double breadsticks Robredo 7-6 (7-3), 6-1, 6-1
