Re: I wouldnt be supprised if Roger retired soon

Whether or not Federer he does retire, I think he should seriously consider it. The only reason for continuing would be to try and beat Sampras's 14 slams, but this can obviously only be achieved now...

Re: Roger Federer : Who Can Help Him

As a huge Federer fan I hope I'm wrong, but I think the situation is far worse than that. I believe the question is, can he salvage his career?

You're right. He does appear to be in denial. After...

Re: Life must suck if you're not a Federer fan

[QUOTE=celia;6002205]Well not your entire life but certainly your tennis and entertainment life. I feel for those of you who are not Federer fans. Life must be pretty darn rough. And it's gonna be...

Re: Petition to Wimbledon Organisers to SPEED UP THE GRASS

I think a better petition would be to speed up the players, especially Nadal.

Re: Nadal's timewasting - who's to blame?

I can assure you I have no hidden agenda, and I'm certainly not a Nadal hater, and starting this thread at this time has nothing to do with sour grapes. It just seems unfair that a player should be...

Re: Nadal's timewasting - who's to blame?

I agree. There have only been token warnings. On Sunday Nadal frequently took longer than on the actual occasion he was warned, but the umpire did nothing. If umpires did what they're supposed to,...

Re: Nadal's timewasting - who's to blame?

I agree with you that it's bad for tennis, but I don't agree that officials should be sitting down with Nadal to explain it's not on. He is fully aware of both the rules and what he is doing. As PMK...

General Timewasting Thread (Taking too long in between points)

Apart from Nadal himself, is it the fault of the umpires for being too lenient, or are they under instructions to go easy on him? Officials certainly appear reluctant to do anything to upset him. Or...

Re: no words to describe Nadal

There certainly are words to describe Nadal: Disrespectful obnoxious brat. From keeping officials and Federer waiting for ages at the net before the coin toss while he just sat in his chair, to quite...

Re: Holding mods to account

I think this is one of the main problems that some mods fail to understand - any preferences, likes, dislikes etc. must go out the window when making objective and impartial decisions. They are not...

Re: Holding mods to account

You have admirably demonstrated who the idiot is, quoting something that has nothing whatsover to do with the thread. The overall title of this area, non-tennis, should have given you a clue.

Contact details of management

In order to ensure moderators/administrators are providing the service they should, and to hold them accountable to customers, contact details of MTF management should be provided on the home page.

Re: Why do people hate Murray so much on this board?

I haven't been here long, clydey, but I agree that some mods are not doing the job they are supposed to. They forget that this forum is run as a service to you and me, the customers, and not as a...

Re: Holding mods to account

Probably the same one I'm thinking of, rocketassist. The less accountable the mods are, the more likely you are to get this type of thing. The best forums put customers first, and have contact...

Holding mods to account

Can anyone provide me with contact addresses and names of either this forum's management or the senior administrator, because I feel one or two mods are rather less than friendly when addressing...

Re: Opinions on Andy Murray

I'd like to think I'm fairly objective and, despite Henman being a fellow countryman, I think he was extremely unpleasant. Frequently foul-mouthed and tetchy (hence his nickname) the partisan...

Opinions on Andy Murray

Regardless of his tennis, and after his latest antics at Queen's yesterday (who could forget 2005 and his pratfall that Charlie Chaplin would have been proud of), is Murray a big girl's blowse,...

Re: Wimbledon 2008 : Anticipation & Speculation

I've got plenty of thoughts about the players but you're right in one sense - my main bugbear with the game is its resistance to anything new that will clearly improve it. For instance, Hawkeye has...

Re: Wimbledon 2008 : Anticipation & Speculation

I speculate that, as usual, the tournament will be ruined by rain. There should have been roofs on the 2 show courts ages ago. After all, Halle has had a roof for nearly 20 years. Since then, with...
