Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

Why don’t you leave the bitterness and anger to posters like Orka? You’re better than that, oranges.

Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

It's not an answer on how this would be a precedent, though.
You're merely stating why you strongly disagree with this, which is fair enough (obviously).

Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

I don't think that. I know you aren't. :)

My question was serious. How is the way this request was handled setting a precedent? I have read your previous answers and I don't see a clear answer on...

Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

How?

The only way this could possibly be a precedent lies in the fact that Nadal talked about it in public instead of dealing with it behind closed doors.
You may argue about this being a bad thing...

Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

Ah, mister Slavery and Killing is back. :)

Joolz said that Nadal set a precedent by this.
I replied that he didn't.
He ignored that and went back to repeating old arguments.
That, to me, is...

Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

I think that I hit a nail by mentioning your fantasies about Nadal. What else can explain your obsession with him?

Don't worry. I won't judge.

Of course, dear. Federer is just about perfect,...

Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

My mistake.

Federer is a perfect little angel. When he utters his frustration over an umpire or another player or the organisation, he just tells it like it is. Bless him.

Nadal is a filthy...

Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

I see.

However, you can't expect one side of the debate to make a full confession on how disappointed they are with their player if there's this much hyperbole and stupidity on the other side....

Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

If you were really interested in having an open and honest debat, chalkdust, the following post wouldn't be this one-sided.

I don't think that an honest debate is possible about top player on MTF...

Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

It's disappointing how so many posters are so damned obsessed about Nadal that they can't have an actual conversation about tennis anymore.

You're backtracking now.It is NOT a precedent so your...

That's just it.

It is NOT setting a precedent since it has always happened.

Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

One umpire. This still leaves plenty of other umpires.

A player, as far as we know, can not handpick his umpires.
I don't think that it's the same thing at all.

I do think that top...

Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

I know but I think that it's useful to remind people of this because the focus is a bit too much on one player.

I don't think that it's such a big problem to avoid tension between players and...

Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

You do realise that your own favorite player regularly does that as well, right?

I understand that you want to jump on the "NADAL IS A CRIMINAL" bandwagon but you're sort of shooting yourself in the...

Re: Fognini:"Those who say that [Nadal] he can't win Roland Garros this year are stup

He didn't actually say that, though. He merely stated that people who count him out are stupid, but he ranks Djokovic as a higher favorite. :p

Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

why not seek a bit more balance on MTF or has this place gone too far to return?

The way MTF is going, only the mud-slingers stay because others where the bigger person and decided to shut up when...

Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

I have never claimed to be objective and if you would care to read this thread, you’d see no actual agreeing with it either. I just think that haters go too far.

Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

People are bringing slavery, corruption and killing a man into this. This is simply putting oil to the fire.. It would not hurt non-fans to use a bit of reason either.

Re: Nadal Asked to avoid Bernardes

I think that corruption is a bit too strong.
Corruption involves bribery for which there is zero proof.

Bernardes was not fired and suffers no financial consequences so what would a lawyer be able...

Of course, moderators are going to pay more attention to threads involving their favorites. Fully understandable.

But, if that results into MTF being a lot more closely monitored about certain...

Why are you bringing that up then? This discussion has nothing to do with an agenda of a newspaper against Nadal. Nobody brought it up but you.

It's tennis journalism, not science. We've both...

I'm going to answer it anyway because it's a forum and because you're just making stuff up. If you prefer to talk to yourself, start talking to a wall. :p
