Re: Do you enjoy tennis as much now these days?

For me is a bad thing. Watching always the same finals, on every surface is boring.

Re: Xavier Malisse: Federer is fun to watch; Djokovic always plays the same way

If you cannot sleep, just watch any match involving one of the Klitschko brothers. Sure remedy against insomnia. :D

Re: Xavier Malisse: Federer is fun to watch; Djokovic always plays the same way

One good match is not enough to save a tournament. As one or two good rivalries cannot save tennis. The worst thing is that the next era looks even worse in prospective.

Re: Xavier Malisse: Federer is fun to watch; Djokovic always plays the same way

?

Please don't put words in my mouth I've NEVER said. I've just said none of his parents are Serbs (by their admission), but he was born in Serbia, he is a citizen of Serbia, he decided to play for...

Re: Do you enjoy tennis as much now these days?

This! Variety makes the big tournaments special. And not what we have today:

AO - main favorites are Novak, Roger and Rafa (when not injured)
RG - main favorites are Rafa, Novak and Roger
Wimby -...

Re: Xavier Malisse: Federer is fun to watch; Djokovic always plays the same way

The only 2 non Serbs that think Novak's game is not boring, are his mom and dad. :D

Re: Do you enjoy tennis as much now these days?

So having only 2 (TWO!) great players makes a tennis era A+?

Re: Do you enjoy tennis as much now these days?

I really miss the good old 90s. Today's tennis is shit.

At his age, he achieved more then 99% of other tennis players.

Re: Why is Coric so hated?

Argument this please.

He said his 2015 plan is to reach the Top 50, and at the end of Match he is almost there. So his expectations are not so high right now. If he said he was aiming for the Top 20...

Re: Why is Coric so hated?

Đoković is hated.
Ćorić is the new Đoković.

RESULT: Ćorić is hated.

Re: Endless Era Debates

An era where we have always the same players in most tournament finals, is a very weak era (no competition). Always Novak, Roger and Nadal (when he is healthy). Boring era.

Re: Cilic has withdrawn from Miami Open due to a shoulder injury.

I have my doubts he is a MTF member, so don't expect an answer from him. :D

Re: Cilic has withdrawn from Miami Open due to a shoulder injury.

Korda took steroids. Cannot compare it what Marin took (nothing helpful for his game).

Re: Cilic has withdrawn from Miami Open due to a shoulder injury.

He felt pain in his back prior to the match against Monaco. So he probably tanked that match a bit to avoid risks of larger injury.

Re: Cilic has withdrawn from Miami Open due to a shoulder injury.

So if you've ever paid a fine for speeding (or any other infraction), you should never ever drive a car again? Sounds logic.

And I'm no croation FYI.

Re: Roger Federer owns a staggering 47 of 166 tennis records!

The current era is even weaker. We have one top player (Nole) and 2 ex top players (grampa Fed and always hurt Nadal). The other players are not worth mentioning.

Re: Cilic has withdrawn from Miami Open due to a shoulder injury.

He won that Grand Slam without any help form drugs, so its integrity cannot be damaged.

Re: We can have a big4 semi-final

[irony mode on]
A big4 semifinal? Something we never saw in this super strong era, in which everyone can beat everyone, and there are no clear favorites. It looks almost impossible that a big4 SF can...

Re: 2002 the death of WImbledon?

I'm glad we agree on that. Tennis need surface specialists again. We have only one now - Nadal.

Re: 2002 the death of WImbledon?

Yes, Edberg is probably the best net player ever, but Rafter's volleys are my greatest tennis love. :hearts:
