Re: Has Djokovic surpassed Stefan Edberg and/or Boris Becker?

I think he needs to win one more Wimbledon or one French Open to surpass them.

Fed-Djokovic for the quality, drama and unpredictability of outcome

Fed-Tsonga for spectacular shotmaking.

Re: Most overrated shot (of the top players)

Nadal's forehand outside of clay. Needs time to set it up and can break down in the face of aggressive play.

Re: Top 100 by better FH or BH

Again, completely disagree. Nalbandian's backhand is a couple of levels above Baggy's. Not even close.

Re: Top 100 by better FH or BH

Simon is debatable. Completely disagree about Baggy. His backhand is steady, but in no way better than his forehand.

While wikipedia is no authority :), the author seems to agree with...

Re: Top 100 by better FH or BH

I feel that Simon has a better forehand. Baghdatis *definitely* has a better forehand. Interesting list, overall. What is the number of stronger forehand versus backhands?

Re: Does anyone like indoor tennis?

Where is the "My favorite player loses here often. That is why I pretend it is bad tennis" option?

Re: Does Nadal need to learn to serve and volley?

That would be a drastic adjustment in his game. Not advisable at this stage of his career.

Re: AO QF: Murray beats Dolgopolov 7-5 6-3 6-7(3) 6-3

I think he is more of a right-handed Marcelo Rios (who incidentally is his favorite player)

Re: Simon Australian Open classics: 2009 QF and 2011 2nd rd. Comparison.

Also,
Soderling def Nadal 4R RG 2009
Federer def Soderling F RG 2009

Murray def Nadal QF AO 2010
Federer def Murray F AO 2010

We can go on and on with this. The irony of my previous post obviously...

Re: Simon Australian Open classics: 2009 QF and 2011 2nd rd. Comparison.

You forgot two other classic matches involving the two best players:

2008 AO SF Tsonga def Nadal 6-2 6-3 6-2
2010 AO SF Federer def Tsonga 6-2 6-3 6-2

I eagerly await your analysis of these two...

Re: Novak Djokovic: It's time for another Grand Slam

And you give Murray and Soderling a greater chance of winning when they have not even made the finals before (Sod has not even made the semis) AND Roger trashed both of them at the WTF recently....

Re: Novak Djokovic: It's time for another Grand Slam

Yes, he can have his off days, but 8.75% indicates that Federer has next to no chance of winning Wimbledon.

As for Roddick, he beat Murray not too long ago, didn't he?

Re: Novak Djokovic: It's time for another Grand Slam

I am not sure I agree with your analysis. You are basing your numbers on ONE year which could very well be an outlier. Federer had a bad grasscourt season last year and he has already upped his level...

Re: PMK dumps Nadal out of Doha 63 62

Why doesn't Davydenko manhandle Federer like this? It's all about the individual matchup. It's sad (as it signals the death knell for one-handed backhands), but Federer's one-handed backhand is a...
