Re: Is Federer deluded after his defeat?

Frankly, this is a very silly thread.

Re: Federer, Borg win BBC sports awards

Well, maybe you'll stop your own whining as well? That will be a welcome event!

Fedtards usually get on my nerves, but you've beaten them hands down this time around. From what I read,...

Re: Nadal: "I don't know if Roger respects me..."

You're right. My favorite so far is the taking turns dominating, with the grass stains and clay-getting-everywhere installment.

High quality stuff.:worship:

Re: Congrats Fed and Fedtards.

Wait, Fedtards are too "womanly" to accept defeat? What's with the sexism?

I prefer the slash, thank you very much.

Would someone please explain this one to me?

Re: Rogi: "Nadal is still one dimensional"

Why is one-dimensional considered an insult? Nadal is one dimensional, but that dimension gives Roger fits. There are a heck of a lot of one dimensional players, but that does not mean they're bad...

Re: Saturday OOP & Scores

Gah. I hate that the live scores are taking so long to refresh and that ESPN brainlessly decided not to air this live.

Re: The Age of No Competition (2002-2006)

I disagree with this. i think Sampras had a great game that he barely had to use because his serve was so dominant. But when he actually was forced to play with his complete arsenal, he was an...

Re: The Age of No Competition (2002-2006)

My question is, why is this guy making such a big deal of Roddick finishing as the year end #1 in 2003? The way I see it, being the year end #1 really just means that he happened to be #1 at the end...

Re: Federer: "Djokovic has a longer way to go than Murray and Gasquet!"

I still think he is ahead. And by quite a bit. Nadal made it to the quarterfinals at the US Open, won AMS Canada last year, won Dubai this year against Roger, won AMS Madrid last year as well... I...

Re: Federer: "Djokovic has a longer way to go than Murray and Gasquet!"

But Nadal's light-years ahead in terms of results. I love Richard, he's my favorite of all the young ones. But he needs the results to match his considerable talent. Nadal's already done that.

Re: mary carillo said roger tanked vs murray

I don't understand Tennis-X's need to rehash (over and over and over again) Roger's loss to Murray. They've been on it since it happened and it's gotten more coverage than, I think, any other...

Re: Roger to Bud, Wimbledon 2004 final was the hardest (the first with AndyR)...

True. But in terms of how both matched played out, I've got to agree with Roger. He was always ahead today. He had to dig deep and beat Roddick when Andy was playing the best match of his life.

Re: Fifty things: On Nadal, Federer and more from Roland Garros (SI.com, June 11, 2006)

Dude. That is so wrong. So so so so so wrong. This makes sense, how, exactly? Because he was beaten in the final by the best clay courter of his generation? Because he lost his first GS final in...

Re: *******The Roland Garros/FRENCH OPEN 2006 Thread*******

I'm really annoyed by this whole turn of events. I'm so sad for Roger. He really deserved it. He's such an incredible player and talent that it's hard for me to watch him be listless on the court....

Re: Ivan Ljubicic: Locker Room spokesperson

And sometimes "everybody" is just a figure of speech. Sometimes it just means that a lot of people would like such and such. It's not meant to be taken literally. As usual, this is a tempest in a...

Re: Ivan Ljubicic: Locker Room spokesperson

With his on court behavior?

Mind you, I'm not on the Nadal hate train. But he's no saint. None of the players are.

Nadal's the heavy, and I do mean HEAVY, favorite on Sunday, regardless of this...

Re: Moyá: "Roger shitted his pants against Rafa in Rome final"

I'm confused. You're criticizing people and calling them idiots for potentially doing what you've been doing yourself. So you're calling yourself an idiot?

Anyway, what Carlos said is really a...

Re: Sunday OOP + Scores

I cannot for the life of me believe I can't watch this! Aaaaaargh! And the live scoring from Monte Carlo froze on me at 3-0 in the fourth. Gosh. I HATE THIS.

Re: Anyone ever retired in a men's GS final?

When it comes to health issues, a player needs to be selfish. She's played enough matches while hurt and/or cramping and lost some of them. She's never retired before because she was losing, and...
