Re: US Open Main Draw Wild Cards

Why are people holding on to Ginepri?
As good as his run was many years ago, this isn't your mother's US Open. Yeah Ryan's not in good form, but at least he has form and potential that hasn't been...

Re: Chase Buchanan

When Chase was a junior was he pretty competitive with some of the top players? I feel like he was but I'm not sure off the top of my head.
PS He needs to keep his hair short. Saw him in person and...

Re: is tennis in the us more popular than football/soccer

Momentarily soccer.
But it is also a team sport and a lot of Americans love their team sports, rather than the "dull and boring" individual sports.

Re: Wimbledon R1: G. Dimitrov 7-6(1) 6-3 6-2 R. Harrison

Ryan actually looked fit today, much better than before
Dimitrov was on fire. But I'm not surprised, I called him winning in straights in this match.

Re: 1994-1996 : Rubin, Kwiatkowski, Halebian, Papa, Corinteli, McDonald, Donaldson,

Maybe it's the part that I bold. Because really not much separates UVA's success from other top programs.
I do think another reason is that all the USTA PD kids that have gone there were pretty...

Re: 1997-1998 Juniors: Wiersholm, Nava, Kozlov, Tiafoe, Mmoh, Blumberg, Ponwith, etc.

I saw him play Zverev at the US Open.
Played him well and close. I do think he has potential.

Re: 1994-1996 : Rubin, Kwiatkowski, Halebian, Papa, Corinteli, McDonald, Donaldson,

I do wonder how they keep getting these recruits.
Not accusing them of anything but just wow on who they are getting.

Re: Ryan in 2014!

I'm assuming Clay Thompson has played Steve Johnson before, maybe in college?
Close match, as they probably knew each other's games well.

Re: I've changed my mind - Coric is top 10 sealed

I watched him play at the US Open Juniors final.
I was more impressed with Thanasi, however Coric has ridiculous defense. Some of the shots he got back was ridiculous, great racket control on the...

Re: If Federer were American, would U.S Dominate Tennis?

This.
By resigning the part time McEnroe, the USTA is pretty much saying they don't see anything wrong with the state of the program right now...

Re: Upside of young American players

Novikov definitely needs to work on a fitness. Not saying he's fat, but he can slim down, it would help him a ton.

Re: Week 38: Szczecin (Entry List)

Talked to him before, he's usually very polite and nice.
Even he seemed tempered on the court.

Re: US Open Juniors Final: Coric def. Kokkinakis 3-6 6-3 6-1

Thanasi looked hurt out there in the 2nd set, something happened with his shoulder. Was missing serves by a big margin and grimacing in pain all the way to the end.

Do they spend more than the other tennis organizations in France, UK, and Australia?
