Re: ~*Charly will rule SYDNEY! ~¡VAMOS CARIÑO!We Believe!

Don't know for sure about Carolina, but I got the impression that she's there for the whole Down Under tour. What a shame Carlos couldn't win this one. With all the seeds dropping, it'll be...

Re: Official: Shanghai Masters Series from 2009

I don't know why the ATP can't just come out and announce in one statement what their new schedule will be. As businessmen, they must have already determined where the Asian masters event fits in the...

Re: ATP Changed its mind AGAIN - Blake now OUT

I didn't mean he could have said no to the presser but he could have avoided answering questions on behalf of the ATP as to the ATP's thinking processes that caused the change. All he had to do was...

Re: ATP Changed its mind AGAIN - Blake now OUT

But I'm sure he could have said no (to both accepting the gift and to being the spokesperson for the reasoning). Unfortunately, I really think that he convinced himself that it was the right thing to...

Re: ATP Changed its mind AGAIN - Blake now OUT

He certainly has to be feeling pretty embarrassed right now. After jumping on the bandwagon about how great the original dicision to gift him the quarterfinal spot was :bolt:

Re: ATP Changed its mind AGAIN - Blake now OUT

So even if he did leave, I guess he can get back in time for his match, even if they have to shuffle matches around to wait for him.

Re: A real RR poll for Mr Disney to talk about!

Actually, looking at the votes so far, it probably isn't necessary. I doubt there will be many votes other than NO!

Re: ATP Changed its mind AGAIN - Blake now OUT

The question is ...
Is he even still around or has he already left for IW?

Re: A real RR poll for Mr Disney to talk about!

Can it be changed? I can't seem to find an option to edit a poll.

A real RR poll for Mr Disney to talk about!

deVilliers continues to talk about how the fans like round robin and the system just needs to be tweaked to make it work. Nobody has ever actually seen where he is getting all this positive fan...

Re: Blake def. del Potro 6-1 3-1 ret., advances to QF after controversial decision by ATP

From Yahoo

Obviously he wasn't concerned enough to do anything when it only affected clay court players in South America. But when a favored son gets stung, well then let's pull a rabbit out of...

Re: How long will it take Mr Disney to give up on the RR format?

I'd venture to say that it can't get much more humiliating than today's retroactive "changing of the rules" in Las Vegas. If they can convince any other tournaments to try this after today's mess,...

Re: Blake def. del Potro 6-1 / 3-1 and ret.

Yes, I had somehow missed that they realized they better pay him off and were giving him the monetary prize. So yeah, it wouldn't be worth it for him to hassle any more.

All I can say is :haha:...

Re: Blake def. del Potro 6-1 / 3-1 and ret.

Well, since the ATP fines players all the time for deviations from tournament rules (throwing rackets, audible obsenities, withdrawals, etc) they are substantiating that an effective contract exists...

Re: How long will it take Mr Disney to give up on the RR format?

I wonder if the Blake/DelPotro incident will qualify as a fiasco to him. Another example of major problems with his idea.

I really can't imagine him sticking out the year. These incidents are...

Re: How long will it take Mr Disney to give up on the RR format?

Well, Hernych won the first set. So do you think either of them are giving their all for this next set? If you are Hernych, you can take it easy to rest for the next round. If you are Kuerten, you...

Re: How long will it take Mr Disney to give up on the RR format?

Definitely a mess. I know that he had high hopes that this would work. But I would think he's smart enough to see the results after the few attempts so far have been less than stellar. As a matter of...

How long will it take Mr Disney to give up on the RR format?

Re: ~*Buenos Aires get ready for Moya Magic~¡VAMOS CARIÑO!We Believe!

Unfortunately, since this is round robin Nalby's loss doesn't eliminate him yet so the coast isn't quite clear. He will have to lose again I think to be definitely eliminated. At least that is how I...
