Re: AO R1: Fernando Verdasco def. (5) Rafael Nadal 7-6(6) 4-6 3-6 7-6(4) 6-2

Well obviously there was an element of surprise as it was an upset, but there is no immediate jaw-drop or "Oh my god" that one would think a loss like this would bring about, as it did for me when...

Re: AO R1: Fernando Verdasco def. (5) Rafael Nadal 7-6(6) 4-6 3-6 7-6(4) 6-2

I have a tremendous dislike for Rafa, but it is sad to say that this loss is not a shock.

Still don't understand how his ranking is so high.

Re: BBC: Evidence suggests match fixing rife in Tennis

Honestly shocked to see Vika on the "list." Where did that newspaper get its information from?

Why would Vika want to match fix when by then she was already a top player? Plus, she never had any...

Re: BBC: Evidence suggests match fixing rife in Tennis

I must have misread the article when I said the USO winner won it in the last 10 years. I guess the two most suspicious to me are the recent one who has had trouble with other anti-etc. agencies...

Except one very recent USO winner.

Re: BBC: Evidence suggests match fixing rife in Tennis

Exactly, it's disgusting!

And for those of you saying the USO winner is a female, I find that extremely unlikely. As much as I dislike Serena, she is an obvious no. Same for Clijsters, Stosur,...

Re: Wtaw (Gen. WTA Discussion) [Volume II]

Am I the only one who doesn't understand all the experts picking Azarenka to win the whole thing? I'm especially nervous about Muguruza :scared:

Re: BBC: Evidence suggests match fixing rife in Tennis

If the US Open winner has won it in the past decade, it rules out Safin.
I think it's becoming painfully obvious who it is :) Suspected it all along, in addition to other physical "enhancements" :)

Re: Lana Del Rey fans in MTF

I think Ultraviolence is better than Honeymoon, but both are great. My favorite tracks off of Honeymoon are the title track, The Blackest Day, 24, and Religion.

Re: Wtaw (Gen. WTA Discussion) [Volume II]

Both are nice ladies, but are so out of form and will be this year's Bouchards. Case in point: Pennetta vs. Halep

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 27

Hope you're correct :(

And is it true Federer is limping? Someone said that in the Rain Delay thread.

Re: Wtaw (Gen. WTA Discussion) [Volume II]

"Serena winning the CYGS would be great for the sport."

No, it would only be good for her and her family. The fact that she was going for the CYGS brought a lot of media attention, but whether she...

Re: So much to lose for both Federer and Djokovic

Of course, it's a GS final!

But I'm pretty sure this exact thread was made before the Wimbledon final

Re: Wtaw (Gen. WTA Discussion) [Volume II]

Happy for both Pennetta and Vinci. Don't care who wins, but will be happy for either one, and gutted for the other
