Re: What kind of relationship do you have with your parents?

Good relationship, well must be as I still live under their roof at 25. Neither of my sisters would be able to though they still get on well enough, it's just they clash and argue too much about the...

Prenuptial Agreements

How does MTF see these? Anyone in a relationship or married and have one? Anyone been asked to sign one and objected? I've never asked someone to sign one but my one long term girlfriend told me off...

Re: Who is the FOAT (fittest player of all time)?

2007 Wimbledon final, who ran out of gas in set 5, with a break point and all the momentum? Wasn't Federer.

That version of Federer wasn't as fit as 2004-2006 peak Fed anyway.

Peak Federer =...

Re: Who is the FOAT (fittest player of all time)?

Fed was so good at his peak he very seldomly got taken to 5 sets.

But when he did, he won most that counted, and very few looked due to fatigue to me.

Breakdown of Federer's 5 set record at majors...

Re: Who is the FOAT (fittest player of all time)?

The reason I put Federer in the poll is because he actually takes 20 seconds between points.

Nadal and Djokovic fitness is harder to assess and comapre because they routinely get half as much more...

Who is the FOAT (fittest player of all time)?

For me it's Federer for sure, it was just insane how many tough 5 set semi finals he played at his peak and post peak years to be fresh as a daisy in the final, every other player on tour I have...

Re: Servebots are bad for tennis.

The only thing I find annoying about Raonic is he moves around like some sort of Robot. He looks like a dork on court. The only "bot" about him is not the serve but rather lack of any...

Starting to see Nishikori as a flash in the pan now, doubt he will ever win a slam

To me he is a Simon/Nalbandian/Gasquet/Gulbis/Monfis/Tipsaravec/Haas level player who just got very lucky in a few 5 set matches when the draw opened up for him in US Open 2014, yes he did well at...

Re: Is a tennis player representing their country every time they step on court?

I feel some athletes moreso than others. I always felt Novak was flying the flag of Serbia a lot more than Federer for Switzerland..though I guess maybe because of economic factors or the swiss being...

Is a tennis player representing their country every time they step on court?

Obviously in Davis Cup and Olympic games they are, but I mean in a wider sense every time they take the court on the ATP tour for slams, masters and so on.

I know tennis is an individual sport that...

Re: Mark my given words, Rafael Nadal will not reach the second week of AO 2015,MARK

No he wouldn't have. Didn't you see Fercrapsco at AO 2009 and USO 2010? He'd have shit his pants if he even got close.

The rest of the mugs bar Bagdahtis probably would also have crapped their pants...

Re: Australian Open 4R: (3) Nadal def (14) Anderson 7-5 6-1 6-4

To be honest was never in doubt, I think Anderson would have forced the first set to a TB if he hadnt had all those break points and just a 40-30 service game to Nadal.

But lets be honest, even if...

Why can't Hewitt ever come anywhere near his peak form anymore?

Why is it Federer can now and again at least show glimpses well into his 30's, even Sampras managed to click for one slam in 2002 at an old age, Agassi was very good mid 30's, but with Hewitt, you...

Re: Tennis stars like Federer, Nadal and Djokovic only care about cash, not fans

Interesting perspective.

What I will say is I would have thought that players like Federer/Nadal for example, in the twilights of their careers, with probably only 2-3 years left on tour (Nadals...

Is it even possible to choke away a tennis game?

I've always seen tennis as being a pure stat based sport where you can't run down the clock, as long as you are still hitting a ball and dont hear the words game set match, technically you can win...

Re: Auckland Heineken Open SF Vesely Def Anderson 6-4 7-6

Isn't this what we want though, young guys making finals? When its the same guys its a weak era, when the top seeds go out its a weak era..

Auckland Heineken Open R2: Jiri Vesely defeats Ernests Gulbis 6-2 3-6 6-1

Ernest just hopeless in sets 1 and 3  just hopeless in his first outing for the year.

Seeds continue to tumble at the Heineken Open.

Well done Jiri, solid all day, only broken once.

:worship:

# 5 Seed Robredo out of Auckland, Michael Venus to play lucky loser Lucas Pouille

Another seed bites the dust in Auckland, stars aligning potentially for the hometown hero.

Tommy hurt himself in the gym 3 days ago and has been unable to recover well enough to play, tournament...

Auckland Heineken Open R1: Falla Def Rubin Statham 6-4 6-4

Decent fight from Statham but the result was never really in doubt.

New Zealands suckery at tennis continues.

Auckland Heineken Open R1: Struff upsets Dominic Thiem 6-7 6-4 6-3

:worship: Just utter clownery throughout from Thiem, expecting little more than a first round exit for him at AO. $1.30 favourite for this match he was.

Struff did what he had to do, but Thiem was...

Re: Is it better to lose to a 100 plus ranked player than to your biggest rival?

Of course it's worse to lose to a lower ranked player, are we really even having this debate?

To those who say history only remembers the ultimate winner of a given tournament and it's not worse to...
