Re: Madrid R2: [8] Wawrinka def. [LL] Sousa, 7-6(1) 7-5

At least it was in straights. Not sure how it started, but Stan had many opportunities with 15-30's, but it is not until Sousa Serving for the Set game that he was able to do it, and played a very...

Re: Should Simple Racket Smashes and Ball Throws be Continued As Code Violations?

Sorry if the question is negative to the answer (i.e. asking if they should, while the answer is shouldn't).

I have to say the 2nd racket break of Troicki yesterday seem to be a bit much. He didn't...

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 11

The good news is it seems his usual win the 1st serve points are doing well -- helping him is the 55% first serve in. I think that's a decent level that at least hope would be the average in the...

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 11

Why did Stan not go cross-court on that smash? Good thing he won that point, but still.

Should Simple Racket Smashes and Ball Throws be Continued As Code Violations?

This had me thinking when I saw Troicki breaking two rackets on separate occasions during one game. The first was due to a very good Monfils winner I think, which after he smashed a racket due to...

Re: Madrid R1: Gasquet def. Karlovic 6-3 6-4

Ivo looks eh and kind of didn't look that disappointed about the loss. Too many weird shot selection, and the serve wasn't really going over the net some of the time. Many bad volleys and approaches...

Re: Madrid R1: Jack Sock def. (WC)Pablo Andujar-Alba 6-4 7-5

Andujar just really overpowered by that big FH. Sock really has done a good job to hide his weakness on the BH, and really used his FH to make great shots. Some good touch shots from him too. Good...

Re: Feliciano Lopez hits out at umpires for alleged favoritism over some players

I would say that many Code Violations have been done since that Estoril incident -- Troicki got a double violation for smashing a racket, the second one not even a smash but just a break on the...

Re: Madrid R1: Verdasco def. GGL 4-6 6-2 6-3

That was a very nice Verdasco performance so no shame on losing for GGL and good for him he wasn't the person who was able to have a comeback against fighter Coric, but meltdown against mental midget...

Re: München F: [1] Murray def. [5] Kohlschreiber 76(4) 57 76(4)

I haven't heard of the term "Munchen" until I asked what does "Bayern Munchen" mean on football, which it actually just means Munich. I am pretty sure people not close in Europe are not familiar with...

Re: The Thiem hype is too much, why not hype the player who is actually winning thing

Precisely. The moment he beats one of the top guys again, I am sure he would be in the buzz. He did in Miami to a degree. It is just trying to find the right recipe to get far.

Re: München F: [1] Murray def. [5] Kohlschreiber 76(4) 57 76(4)

Guys, could I change the title to "Munich" instead, I mean it could be harder to search if it's just München, especially those who are not familiar on the term.

Re: München F: [1] Murray def. [5] Kohlschreiber 76(4) 57 76(4)

Huh, this is seems to be a very nice match, not watched it but at least they managed to finish it today, especially for Kohli he would have to play on Tuesday (please, Madrid, make him the last...

Re: Why is Tsonga playing 's-Hertogenbosch, Halle and Nottingham?

I think he's just trying to rebuild his ranking again and get needed points and I guess he wants to bank on grass, his most possible best surface.

Re: The Thiem hype is too much, why not hype the player who is actually winning thing

It is hard to hype a player you don't like. Thiem I think has many supporters who like his game, hence the hype. Vesely not so much (and I am actually quite surprised about his performance this year)...

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 11

Oh, OK. Mahut played his doubles Finals match in Newport last 2013 on a Monday, so it makes sense. However I wonder how would they schedule their Mardid matches. I heard the two could meet on R2....

Re: Federer : The Mother Of All Quests : 20 Slams And 100 Titles.

Huh, would be interesting for him to get to 100...hope he does, although I wonder if he's able to maintain that level for the next 2-3 years with an average of 5 titles per year.
