Re: AO R3 : Seppi def. Federer 6-4 7-6(5) 4-6 7-6(5)

Posting my 1000th post here and dedicating it to Mateya, congratulations! She joined the forum shortly after me, and, as far as I can remember, she's always been an avid fan of Seppi, so this was a...

Re: WWW IPTL "International Tennis Premier League"

This! Wasn't that bad for an exho. Especially, it is interesting to observe how those bigger time-wasters deal with the shot clock.

What a win by Mārtiņš, amazing :worship: Jānis was very close as well. Very proud of our twins today. Shame that there was no stream.

Re: Moscow [QF]: Bautista Agut def. Berankis 7-5 6-3

Damn, I was really hoping for a Baltic semi-final here :( Anyway, this turned out to be a great week for Ricardas. When I was following livescore in qualifying during the previous weekend, he was a...

Re: Nikolay Davydenko retires

Farewell Kolya :hatoff: I was never a fan, but I have watched his matches many times, finally got to see him playing live this year as well. Unfortunately, it wasn't singles, but doubles with V....

Re: Rennes Challenger R2: Grandpa Gicquel d. Mathieu 3-6 7-6 6-1

Sad to hear that Marc is retiring after this tournament. Obviously, he is 37, so it's only a logical decision to retire during the indoor season in France, but was kinda hoping he sticks around till...

Re: Shanghai R3: [1]Djokovic def Kukushkin 6-3 4-6 6-4

Watched only 3rd set due to choosing Isner-Lopez match, and it was a fine set of tennis, especially, by Kukushkin who played few fantastic points.

Just 2 months ago Kukushkin played Astana...

Re: Tokyo R2 Kei Nishikori def Donald Young 6-4 7-6

I watched only the 2nd set, but what a good set it was. Both were playing well, especially, Donald. Too bad that he couldn't convert his only set point and, as expected, crumbled in the tiebreak.

Re: 2014 Austrian Bundesliga

Juška playing as No 1 for one of the teams. Interesting. He is semi-retired, currently only coaching. Shouldn't be any problem for Podlipnik-Castillo.

There is Davis Cup match Latvia-Austria next...

Re: best serve under 6'

Daniele Bracciali should be at least mentioned. He is 5'11, and, for example, in 2005 Wimbledon he served a 222 km/h serve vs Roddick (his 1st serve average speed in that match was 201 km/h).

Re: Wimbledon QF: (5) Paes/Stepanek vs (3) Nestor/Zimonjic

Have to say I am very impressed by Nestor/Zimonjic level today, they have been clearly the better pair so far.

Just hope Steps/Paes can somehow hang in and steal this 2nd set.

Re: Wimbledon QF: (5) Paes/Stepanek vs (3) Nestor/Zimonjic

I don't think that Nestor/Zimonjic are favorites here, maybe just a little, I see this close to 50/50. Well, Steps/Paes had a tougher road to semis for sure. I was actually in Wimbledon for couple...

Re: RG QF: Gulbis def Berdych 6-3 6-2 6-4

This was so easy that feels like a routine thing, although this is a fantastic achievement. Well done, Ernests! :yeah:

Re: Taipei City CH R1 Ti Chen d. Ram 6(4)-7 7-6(5) 6-1

Both played well on serve until finally Chen broke Rajeev for the first time in that 3rd set. Rajeev took medical time-out at 0-3, seems he had some back problems. He called for the trainer at 1-4 as...

Re: Week 11: Kazan, Russia [Entry List]

I'd say that Olivetti has improved his ground game. His volleying is pretty decent as well. I definitely wouldn't say that it was a bad loss for Cipolla, and, btw, Olivetti was around 65/35 favorite...

Re: How patriotic a sports fan are you?

I guess I am patriotic then, I always cheer for Latvia in any sports and against any competition. Even in tennis I root for Gulbis, if he plays my biggest favorites (Llodra, Mahut, Stepanek, etc)....
