Re: Why Does Djokovic Struggle Against Federer?

Djokovic really dropped the ball by failing to match Federer at Roland Garros. It looked like a man vs a boy out there. Now Federer has an even bigger mental edge over Djokovic. Looks like a series...

Re: Spanish Federation: US shouldn't use surface for Davis Cup

Ferrer is an absolutely incredible tennis player, no question about that.

Re: Roger Rasheed to become Andy Murray's new coach

Karol Hingis would have been a more interesting choice.

Re: Roger Rasheed to become Andy Murray's new coach

Surprising that Sheed got a job with anyone after the Hewitt disaster. I've heard Sheed commentate and he sounds like a tennis fan who has opinions on strategy, but no technical knowledge. Is not...

Re: In hindsight do you prefer to finish 2nd or 3rd?

In basketball I've won 2 Championships, lost 1 final, lost 2 semi-finals. The final we lost wasn't even close, while one of the semi-finals was decided by the final possession of the game, and one...

Re: In hindsight do you prefer to finish 2nd or 3rd?

Well for sure it is obvious finishing 2nd is a greater achievement than finishing 3rd. But the regret is far greater when you finish 2nd IF YOU BELIEVE YOU COULD HAVE WON. It may haunt the athlete...

I've noticed that too.

Re: In hindsight do you prefer to finish 2nd or 3rd?

I'm asking in 'hindsight' so its a reflective thought after the event. So winning the final isn't an option.

Question In hindsight do you prefer to finish 2nd or 3rd?

You see the devastation of when a tennis player loses a grand slam final (though less devastation if the losing finalist was a heavy underdog and unseeded etc.), whereas losing the semi-final seems...

Re: Do you want a rematch of the US Open 2010 Final??

Even though Federer is a better player than Djokovic, we saw Djokovic at the US Open Final converting 3 of 4 breakpoints and saving his own serve 20 of 26 times, and serving high 67%, so in that...

Re: The Rafa Slam

The poll should say 5 straight slams at least, because there is not a good chance of Rafa losing at Roland Garros.

Re: Do you want a rematch of the US Open 2010 Final??

I prefer that Federer makes the Final rather than Djokovic, most definitely.

Re: Do you want a rematch of the US Open 2010 Final??

It'd be funny if Laver was at the trophy ceremony.

Re: The Rafa Slam

This whole 4 slam in a row thing looks double as appetizing as it usually would because Roland Garros is next. That's one heck of an opportunity to win 5 in a row and 6 at Wimbledon. I think Rafa's...

Re: WWW AO SF: Federer vs. Djokovic

Definitely is the better surface for Djokovic. Relatively speaking he lacks control over his aggressive shots on the US Open surface, overhits a lot.

Re: WWW AO SF: Federer vs. Djokovic

Djokovic has a huge chance, already beaten Federer at the AO and USO, and playing better here than perhaps ever. Served up 2 breadsticks to the Bird and now keen for Federerian dessert.

Re: WWW AO QF: Murray (5) vs Dolgopolov

And 35-year-old Agassi won 3 five-setters in the US OPEN (including SF) but lost the Final in 4 sets to Federer.

Re: AO R4: R.Nadal [1] def. M.Cilic [15] 6-2 6-4 6-3

Obviously though nobody would ever compare a slam-tough Rafa 2011 to the Rafa that turned up to AO 2010 having not won a match at the 2009 WTF. The confidence levels must be polar opposite, not to...

Re: AO R4: R.Nadal [1] def. M.Cilic [15] 6-2 6-4 6-3

None of Murray's opponents are on the level of 2010 semi-finalist Cilic, so how can you measure his form exactly?

Re: AO R4: R.Nadal [1] def. M.Cilic [15] 6-2 6-4 6-3

Make no mistake, Rafa will destroy Murray if they meet now, the gap has widened between them over the last 12 months. Murray was fortunate to meet Rafa at the lowest point of his career - at AO 2010...
