Re: Nadal hasn't defeated a top 10 opponent since RG'14

How many matches are we talking about?

Re: Borna Coric's ceiling (in terms of level of play), is it really that high?

This. He actually played softer in the first set even though he led 5-0. Of course Nadal was absolutely abysmal until the sixth game of the first set. Anyway, I think his forehand is fundamentally...

Re: Shanghai SF: [3] Roger Federer stops [1] Novak Djokovic 6-4 6-4

The average Hungarian doesn't really hate Serbians, you mixed them up with Romanians (personally I don't hate people of any nation just talking about your average Hungarian).

Re: Now Berdych: 2-16 vs. Djokovic, 3-18 vs. Nadal

Federer led the Czech 8-1 until his abilities started to decline.

Re: WWW Wimbledon Final: [1] Djokovic vs [4] Federer

Other than a straight set victory from either guy, nothing would surprise me. There is a good argument for both, with different reasons why they will win.

Re: BOLD PREDICTION: Federer will win Wimbledon 2014

He can lose as early as tomorrow. Stan hit 55 winners today, with what, 8 errors? :o Stan is not bowing down to anyone anymore. He might lose matches, but he does it on his own terms, and every match...

Re: Nadal: "I'm not the only one wasting time. Djokovic has been warned many times"

Let's just say that the original reporter that asked Roger, knew exactly what he/she was doing... Roger took the bait.

Re: Andy Murray " Rafa's 9 out of 10 RG is greatest achievement in all of modern spor

Yes, wanted to mention Karelin too. He's also up there. My country winning the Olympics in waterpolo three times in a row is also not a bad achievement, but unfortunately, not many care about that...

Re: Andy Murray " Rafa's 9 out of 10 RG is greatest achievement in all of modern spor

It's arguable, and if you don't think darts is a sport, it may be even likely. Federer's Grand Slam semi final streak is also up there of course.

Re: Halle SF: [2] Federer def. [4] Nishikori 6-3 7-6(4)

I didn't really see the ball on the stream, but Roger seemed to hit the air nicely, and he moved all right. Wimbledon of course is still a big question mark.

Re: Who is the real favourite for Wimbledon?

It's up for grabs, Tsonga and Berdych should be super motivated.

I'm guessing you lost a sig bet. :D Great play by Brown, not many player would have beat him yesterday on that fast grass with perfect conditions. Nadal will be fine at Wimbledon if he can avoid the...

Re: Is Federer still greater than Nadal after 2014 RG?

I'm not arguing h2h should not matter, but arguing h2h as a top 4 most important criteria? I mean, Slam count, end year nr.1's, and overall weeks at nr. 1, those are obviously not even arguable, they...

Re: Is Federer still greater than Nadal after 2014 RG?

Yes, 3 Slams is a huge difference, and Roger still holds a comfortable lead in the four most important criteria (slam count, year end nr.1, weeks at nr. 1, WTF titles). With that said, Nadal has a...

Re: i miss prime Fed

He was awesome. But peak Roger was not too shabby either. Without saying anything bad about Rafa, Nole, and Andy, i wanna say this, i hope a talented shotmaker emerges soon too. If you think about...

Re: How pathetic the Nadal's serve has become?

Well, give Federer's (peak) serve to Djokovic, and he's unbeatable on basically any surface. We can play this game with many players. Give Stan's Nadal mindset and clutch ability, and he may wins the...

Re: Agassi: "Nadal number one [on the all-time list], Federer number two"

No, the player who has better results against the field, is the better player. Tennis is played against the field, for trophies.

Re: Agassi: "Nadal number one [on the all-time list], Federer number two"

If there is a faulty conclusion, it's yours when you put a whole lot more weight into the h2h then you should be. Because, why you can't argue that the nr.1 most important criteria is slam count, you...

Re: Agassi: "Nadal number one [on the all-time list], Federer number two"

Nadal turned pro years before Roger's first Grand Slam win. He won 17 grand slams, i'd say he did all right. This is tennis, not box, you can only win trophies by competing against the field, not a...

Re: Believe in Stan Wawrinka.

Your point? He is one of the fitter players out there, with literally no weakness in his game at the moment. Sure, he won't break the Slam record, it's obviously late for that, but he can win more...

Re: Monte Carlo F: [3] Stanislas Wawrinka def. [4] Roger Federer 4-6 7-6(5) 6-2

I highly doubt that. I am almost as happy for Stan as i would have been for Roger. Stan's tennis is just amazing to watch.

Re: 2014 Live commentary vol. 8

Well, with the way he is playing this season, we might as well just make up our excuses now for his 3rd and 4th big title.

Re: Metz R1: [Q] Fucsovics def. [7] Chardy 6-3 7-6(5)

Yes, he is a very talented player, with big weapons at his disposal. He has a huge forehand, a huge(ish) serve, a nice slice, and a very good athlete at around 6'2. He is a junior grand slam winner...
