Re: Australian Open F: (1) Novak Djokovic vs (6) Andy Murray

I didn't necessarily care about who the eventual winner was...I was just hoping this wasn't the final as their matches just tend to drag.

I think Murray is objectively playing better tennis so I'll...

Re: Australian Open R4: Kyrgios def. Seppi 5-7 4-6 6-3 7-6(5) 8-6, saves MP

Never be as bad as the French Open crowds

Great for Kyrgios and Australia. Yes, he's kind of a punk but as long as it doesn't interfere with his results, so what?

Re: Who was Wawrinka angry at in the crowd?

Yup, Wawrinka has a temper and frustration must have gotten the best of it.

That said as a former pro she should know better.

The tacky outfits can be forgiven but not bad tennis etiquette.

Re: ATP World Tour Finals SF: [2] Federer def. [3] Wawrinka 4-6, 7-5, 7-6(6) [saves 4

Q: Why did the skeleton not cross the road?

A: Same reason Wawrinka couldn't beat Federer. He didn't have the guts.

Re: Is Novak Djokovic the best player of all time?

No. Federer's peak was superior and from the aesthetic POV there is even more separation

Re: Shanghai 2014: Nadal has appendicitis, may withdraw?

If he's telling the truth he'd be making a dumb decision by remaining in the tournament.

Re: More disappointing 2014: Nadal or Djokovic?

Nadal's year has been crap but injuries are a big part of that. Djokovic should have done better this season. Still not sure how he managed to lose Roland Garros.

Re: USO SF: Cilic def. Federer: 6-3 6-4 6-4

How many samanosuke posts are in this thread? Time to step away from the computer and get some fresh air

Watching the first two sets now, I'm shocked at how fast the whole thing unraveled. It was...

Re: USO SF: Cilic def. Federer: 6-3 6-4 6-4

If by arguments you mean "a lot sour grapes". Yes, you're very knowledgeable about that.

How am I showing my tennis ignorance again? Actually I don't really care what you have to say. Go walk to the...

Re: USO SF: Cilic def. Federer: 6-3 6-4 6-4

CBS Sports: "How the f*** we're gonna sell this final?"

Federer fans: Call this number if you're in the US...1-800-273-8255

Cilic was walking on water. I'm amazed.

Re: US Open QF: [10] Nishikori def. [3] Wawrinka 3-6 7-5 7-6(7) 6-7(5) 6-4

Gei Nishitborey? How creative.

I was hoping for Wawrinka but Nishikori really worked his backhand over, and Stan just started misfiring in crucial points

Great result for Kei, afraid he's gonna get...

Re: Fognini called his opponent "fucking gipsy" during the match

That doesn't make it OK

I don't know about a ban but the best thing to do would be to ignore this moron and hopefully he'll fade away.

Re: Djokovic heavy favorite for the USopen?

Well I'm happy this thread stayed on-topic </endsarcasm>

Djokovic has to be the big favorite, especially if he really really has conquered whatever mental block he had as far as winning Slam finals....

Re: Without clay Rafa is third best of this decade?

Federer's greatness should stand on its own without having to remove Nadal's clay titles from the discussion, regardless of the fact that Rafa is Federer's daddy when it comes to their H2H.

This is...

Re: Wimbledon F: Djokovic beats Federer 6-7(7), 6-4, 7-6(4), 5-7, 6-4, reclaims No. 1

Oh that drama of it all. It will be interesting to see if this will jumpstart another run of Slams by Novak. He clearly had a mental block.

As for Fed...

Re: Wimbledon QF: Raonic def. Kyrgios 6-7 6-2 6-4 7-6

Nobody should be surprised about the result. I don't think Kyrgios was tired but he was bound to have a letdown. He's a young guy and these dips are expected. Great tournament for him and hopefully...
