Re: MC R2: Kohlschreiber makes curried haggis of Murray 6-2 6-1

Barcelona has as much altitude as Monte-Carlo. None.
But it's true that he should play a few low-tier tournaments and use the clay-season to get his confidence back. He needs it to defend his points...

Re: MC R2: Tsonga def Almagro 7-6(5) 7-5

Great logic. I'm sure if you re-read your post you'll find the faulty logic in there.;)

A good win for Tsonga. :yeah:
Almagro once again proves why he'll never be a top 10 player.

Re: Winter Olympics Thread! - Schedule in OP!

The nordic combined jump was a farce!!
Irregular conditions and not worthy of an olympic event. That they put the jumpers through these conditions is just disgusting.
They should've postponed the...

Re: Winter Olympics Thread! - Schedule in OP!

Well nice cross country relay.
Norway wins easily as expected.
Germany wins silver. Great run from Gössner and Nystad. Gössner managed to close the gap by 10 sec during her part and becomes...

Re: Winter Olympics Thread! - Schedule in OP!

 Ok, I was just trying to point out that not every asian skater is the same. Yuna and Arakawa were both trained by westerners, it's not like every asian country does drills like China.

Re: Winter Olympics Thread! - Schedule in OP!

Big generalisation there.
Did you thought the same about Arakawa in 2006? Because she was the definition of elegant and expressive figure skating. If you found even her robotic and lifeless then...

Re: Winter Olympics Thread! - Schedule in OP!

I find it sad that Neuner was criticized in some german papers for giving Beck a chance for a medal. Abandoning the team etc., as if she didn't do enough already for germany's medal count....

Re: Winter Olympics Thread! - Schedule in OP!

Wow! Way to go Austria, didn't expect them to win against the US-team.

A shame Edelmann did fall. Germany might have had a chance for gold otherwise. Kircheisen did everything he could but...

Re: Winter Olympics Thread! - Schedule in OP!

Great win for Janka! :yeah: To bad Cuche couldn't win a medal these olympics.
As for Norway, they're always top in form for the big races. After Aamodt and Kjus they have now Svindal and Jansrud....

Re: Winter Olympics Thread! - Schedule in OP!

Wow!!
Claudia Nystad and Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle just won gold in the team-sprint. Unbelievable to beat the heavy favorited swedish team. Just unreal.

Re: Winter Olympics Thread! - Schedule in OP!

Magdalena Neuner herself said she doesn't want to compete anymore for 2 reasons: first she already has 3 medals and 2 gold and want to give Beck the chance to win a medal here and second she's fed up...

Re: Winter Olympics Thread! - Schedule in OP!

Neuner won't start in the team event, which means Russia is most likely to win it. Will be hard for Germany to win a medal now, since Beck and Wilhelm are out of form.

Wüst was just in...

Re: Winter Olympics Thread! - Schedule in OP!

That was the best: "OMG, I just won an olympic gold metal :speakles::eek::bounce::bigclap:"- reaction I've seen at these olympics so far.

First time I watched cross-ski. Quite fun. :D Anything can happen and it isn't over before you've crossed the finish line.
Schmid was by far the best skier out there, he won every race quite...

Re: Winter Olympics Thread! - Schedule in OP!

Marit Björgen wins her 2nd Gold medal. :hatoff:

Kristin Steira again only 4th. After Turin 06 she must really, really hate that place and it was so close this time, too.

I couldn't care less about Chan or Plushenko. So your comment about Plushenko is wasted on me, but if it makes you feel better.

Re: Winter Olympics Thread! - Schedule in OP!

I think it might be even. Vonn is the big favorite for Super-Ski and Riesch has a good shot at the slalom. Both have an outside chance in Giant-Slalom.
