Re: AO R3: Dimitrov def. Gasquet 6-3 6-2 6-4

I am not taking anything away from Dimitrov who was clearly the better player today, and who played an excellent match, but Richard did have a breakpoint in the 2nd set. ;)

Re: WWW R3: [15] Grigor Dimitrov vs. [18] Richard Gasquet

Brilliant scheduling in Melbourne. Everyone with only a small clue on tennis knew that Nadal/Zverev would be a long match.

Re: No more Metz ATP tournament

This. I have been saying on many occasions that there has to be an ATP event in the Czech Republic, a country with quite some tennis tradition. I am sick of the empty stands on the Asian swing.

Re: AO R2: [18] Gasquet d. Berlocq, 6–1, 6–1, 6–1

Excellent first set from Richard. In the second, Berlocq was an error machine, he improved in the third, but Richard way too solid to allow a change of momentum.

Re: Predict the WTF participants

:topic: Kafelnikov was your favorite? Mine, too, I guess we are rather a minority.

As for the predictions, funny to see that many of the earlier pedictions involved Tsonga, but nobody had...

Re: 2016 Live Commentary Vol. 16

I like Dominic, but Gerald Melzer is a joke today.

Re: Does Gasquet have the best 1H BH ever?

Why anyone takes the OP seriously is beyond me. He comes out gloating when Richard is doing well and remains silent or even goes that far to insult the player he pretends to be a fan of when things...

Re: Antwerp Final: (3)Richard Gasquet def. Diego Schwartzman 7-6(4) 6-1

:bigclap::bigclap: Congratulations Richard, after a year plagued by injuries, there is light at the end of the tunnel again.

Re: Outdoor + Indoor Hard 2016

Great to see Richard getting some wins again. The match against Berdych, though he lost, was one of the best in a long time. Allez!

Re: Struggling to find the same interest in today's youngsters. Am I the only one?

I have liked a lot of players during my life as a tennis fan and most of them were younger than me, there were a few for whom I got emotionally involved: Edberg, Kafelnikov, Safin and Federer until a...

Re: Thiem calls olympics an exhibition.

This exactly. People always complain about the lack of character and then when finally a player goes against the mainstream he is bashed.

And for those criticising his patriotism: Being patriotic...

Re: WWW??? Stuttgart F: (7) Kohlschreiber vs (3) Thiem

This.

And had it been Paris everyone would have jumped at the organisers who were not able to prepare a proper court at the start of the match.

Re: Safin vs Murray: Which of these 2 Slam wonders is better?

Results- and consistency-wise it is Murray without the slightest doubt, but Marat had this little extra which makes him an unforgettable charismatic player forever. Those who never saw him live...
