Did you at least make sure that this ebay person's reputation is no longer 100%

Re: Rafa Chat Thread - waiting for comeback - Vol. 81

Oh, that sucks, JM. So far, I have only bought small things via ebay. I don't really trust it for bigger purchases and your story doesn't really encourage me to doing so.

Re: Rafa Chat Thread - waiting for comeback - Vol. 81

I saw Andreea's Jonas on Italian tv a couple of weeks ago. Made me think that most of his pictures are HEAVILY photoshopped since he looked a lot more grey and disheveled than what I'm used to seeing...

Re: 2015 Tournaments Thread

I agree, mimi. I'll still follow tennis but not with as much passion.

The previous tennis player I was a huge fan of = John McEnroe. (this just as an indication that I don't get passionate about a...

So, Ferrer is his next opponent (man, I hate matches between Rafa and Ferrer :o but then again, I'll be busy having a fun day with my godson :) )

Anyway, schedule for tomorrow:

Re: 2015 Tournaments Thread

Rafa defeated Lucas Pouille 6-2, 6-1. :)

Next opponent will be Viktor Troicki or John Isner. :scared:

Edit: Isner it is.

Re: Montecarlo R2: Nadal def Pouille 62 61

Not to add to that discussion but doesn't that apply to a lot of posters?
Many of them go from thread to thread using the same argument each time (often regardless of the topic). So, what's your...

I think that people with tickets to Court Central could be up for a treat today.

Nice line-up.

Re: Nadal:"Tennis is about victories. Who remembers the defeats [Soderling,Coria,Ferr

Is that because in general, Nadal will be more remembered than Novak. So, the includes his victories and his defeats? ;) :p

What on earth are you babbling about in your usual charming way?
I’m not objective at all....but I just prefer to discuss with others without following your style of cheap digs at others. Trying to...

Re: Nadal:"Tennis is about victories. Who remembers the defeats [Soderling,Coria,Ferr

Roddick was NID. Even in their last encounter in Wimbledon. I never doubted Federer to pull it off.
Sampras was 1 match when Federer was an upcoming player and Sampras was on the downward slope of...

Re: Nadal:"Tennis is about victories. Who remembers the defeats [Soderling,Coria,Ferr

It’s a matter of perspective. I’m guessing that you’re mainly looking at matches when his opponent was close to beating him.
You’re not a fan so watching him win time and time again is not for you,...

Re: Nadal:"Tennis is about victories. Who remembers the defeats [Soderling,Coria,Ferr

The bitterness by his haters contradict your theory, rocketassist. If his main accomplishments were so non-memorable, he wouldn't be the number 1 topic on MTF.

Success breeds contempt. Everybody...

Re: Nadal:"Tennis is about victories. Who remembers the defeats [Soderling,Coria,Ferr

There's a difference between how people on social media and on message boards like this one react to the victories and defeats of famous people on the one side and how those famous people, those...

The thread title is "2015 Tournament Thread" and as far as I can tell, it's still 2015 so there's no need to start a new thread, surely?

Re: Why Djokovic is not classified as a one surface wonder but Nadal is ?

Their careers aren't over yet. So, things can change.

As of now, you can not conclude that Novak has been more consistent in his career in Wimbledon than Rafa has been in his career so far.

It's as...

Re: Why Djokovic is not classified as a one surface wonder but Nadal is ?

I think that a lot of people are looking at a narrow time frame when they say that.

Let's do a bit of research, shall we?

Wimbledon

Roger Federer: 7x winner, 2x...

Then, read your answer as if somebody else wrote it (so, leaving out your own thought...

Agreed.
Hence the "can spread worldwide easily". :)

I also think that there's more pressure on journalists these days. Everybody can go to a tennis tournament and blog about it whereas before,...
