Re: Miami R3: [8] Berdych def. [26] Tomic, 6-7(4) 7-6(3) 6-1 (saved 4 MPs)

Just wow, Berdych was as good as dead after dropping that 1st set and going down 0-4, but didn't give up, stayed mentally strong, Tomic eventually fell apart, and that was that, the collapse was...

Re: Miami R3: Mannarino def. Wawrinka 76(4) 76(5)

Mannarino much more consistent and improved these days, Wawrinka awful, very much deserved to loose, sloppy shanks, poor serving, just no consistency or effort with is game right now. Dire straights...

Re: Miami R3: [26] Verdasco def. [2] Nadal 6-4 2-6 6-3

Incredible, so happy for Verdasco, he choked HARD in set 2, and then he came back, remarkable. The forehand was GOATing, and Rafa was terrible, no depth, no consistency, his defense was broken down....

Re: Miami R3: Monfils def. Tsonga 6-4 7-6(4)

Tsonga had his chances, just too rusty, and a defensively sound Monfils had the edge

Re: Fifth set tiebreak in Davis Cup from 2016 onwards

So after the Mayer-Souza magic we get this announcement, madness really, the DC might as well go die, I don't care about it anymore, and it gets worse every year, pointless event really

Re: Miami R3: Thiem def. Sock 6-4, 6-3

Thiem continues to improve, was really solid here and kept the pressure on Sock, Sock didn't really bother him much, Thiem was sound from both wings and focused

Re: Miami R3: [3] Murray def. [27] Giraldo 6-3 6-4

Murray was tactically and physically sharp here, Giraldo had no answer, good gameplan implemented from Murray, nice walk around match

MTF'er Mr. E is doing credentialed coverage in Miami this week, and has been keeping up with all the action, he wrote up some great reports so far, and did some interesting pressers/interviews as...

Re: Miami R2: Dolgopolov def. Robredo 67(1) 63 75

Amazing match, super high quality from both players, Dolgo really is the human highlight reel, great for the game when he plays this well and wins. Incredibly athletic, great gets, speed, shotmaking,...

Re: Miami R2: [8] Berdych def. [WC] Chung 6-3 6-4

Chung had a good game and he could have pushed it into a third set, Berdych just too big a hitter for him, but with time he'll get better

Re: Miami R2: (29)Bernard Tomic def. Austin Krajicek 7-6(8) 7-5

Glad Austin kept it close, Tomic seems back to normal I guess, next round will be interesting

Re: Miami R2: (7) Wawrinka def. Berlocq, 6-7(9) 7-5 6-2

Berlocq lost belief, Wawrinka was pretty bad in this one, neither wanted the first set tiebreak, and Berlocq choked from a set up and break points in the second. Stan was nearly as bad as he was...

Re: Miami R2: Dominic Thiem def. Feliciano Lopez (12) 7-6(4) 4-6 6-3

Very good match from Thiem, Feli wasn't bad at all, and Thiem played fearless tennis. Amazing passing shots, and dealt with Lopez's serve and volley well. Thiem saved break points in the third and...

Re: Miami R1: Coric def. Haider-Maurer 1-6 6-3 7-6(3) (from 0-3 in the 3rd and a MTO!

Much harder than last time, AHM cramped late and that was the difference, glad Borna could fight back, both sets were a mess

Re: Miami R2: Kevin Anderson def. Sam Querrey 6-7 7-6 6-4

Just like against Stako, Querrey was a set and a break up (served for the match), and then fell apart, totally gave up in the third, just an emotional headcase. Anderson played well however, second...

Re: Miami R2 Giraldo def. Haase 6-2, 3-6, 6-0

Giraldo finally gains some momentum of his own by snapping Haase's recent momentum, good win

Re: Miami R1: Pospisil def. Del Potro 6-4, 7-6 (7)

Sloppy from Del Po, as expected, too many errors, and both the backhand and forehand were lacking, still good for Pospisil to claw back and avoid a third set

Re: Miami R2: Andy Murray (3) def. Donald Young 6-4 6-2

Besides a minor slipup midway through the first, Murray was great and Young had no belief from the start

Re: Miami R2: Simon def Kukushkin 63 67(5) 60

Simon peaked in the third, unreal quality I'd say, Kukushkin just had no answers, Simon was moving to the net well and also moving well side to side

Re: Miami R2: Isner def Rublev 63 64

Rublev just had no answer for the Isner serve, Isner won 90% of 1st serve points I think, had never experienced anything like that before, and it's a learning experience.

Re: Miami R2: Dimitrov def. Pospisil 6-2 6-2

Confidence building beatdown for Dimitrov, Pospisil didn't show up, and I'm beginning to worry he's not going to pan out. Was on the cusp of a breakthrough and now his game has stagnated, probably...

Re: Miami 2R: Janowicz def. (14) Bautista-Agut 6-4, 1-6, 6-4

Big win for Janowicz he was in poor form and hopefully this will pick up his confidence, first big win in a while
