Re: 1999 - 2001 Juniors

He retweeted someone that committed but I don't think he committed himself. Still way too early for his class.

Re: Francis Tiafoe

Honestly, I think he'd be lucky to even accomplish as much as them.

Re: Francis Tiafoe

So glad he won! Impressive turn around after completely losing focus in that second set.

Re: Francis Tiafoe

Currently pulling the biggest choke. Was serving up 6-1 5-2 30-0, lost that game. Had 2 match points receiving at 5-3, lost that game. And then 3 more games in a row to lose the set.

Re: Stefan Kozlov

Sad to see Kozlov forced to retire. Looked like he had a messed up foot coming into the match because he was ailing even during the warmup. Was never able to put any power into his shots, serve, or...

Re: Noah Rubin

From the KZoo matches of his I saw, he had an okay court demeanor. He seemed pretty calm and composed most the time. Would just quietly walk to his seat during a changeover, carefully place his...

Re: 1997-1998 Juniors: Wiersholm, Nava, Kozlov, Tiafoe, Mmoh, Blumberg, Ponwith, etc.

Fritz, Kozlov, Tiafoe receive US Open qualifying wildcards. I'm surprised to see Fritz chosen over Mmoh.

Re: Jared Donaldson

Great news! He received a main draw us open wildcard. He really deserves it in my opinion.

Fritz lost in the semis but got a special exemption into the french open due to his performance at the Astrid Bowl.

Also the draw is out. http://www.rolandgarros.com/en_FR/scores/draws/bs/

Re: 1994-1996 : Rubin, Kwiatkowski, Halebian, Papa, Corinteli, McDonald, Donaldson,

Draw is out. He's in Tiafoe's quarter and he drew Bastian Malla in the first round, a kid similar to him who stopped playing juniors and focused on futures and challengers. The kid also breezed...

Re: 1994-1996 : Rubin, Kwiatkowski, Halebian, Papa, Corinteli, McDonald, Donaldson,

Noah Rubin was in qualifying for French Open Juniors and only lost 2 games total, with 3 6-0 sets, to qualify for the main draw. I'm sure there's not one junior that would want to see him in the...

Long time no see! :wavey: I hope everyone is doing well.

This really strikes me as odd. In the last 7 days, there's been a huge influx of articles about Francis Tiafoe being the next great American...

Re: Stefan Kozlov

He beat Rublev 6-2 6-1 and beat Halys 2-6 7-6(3) 6-3
He plays Zverev in the finals. He's 3-0 against Zverev but this is their first meeting in a grand slam FINAL. Whole different ballgame.

So Colette Lewis has pointed out that Kozlov, Tiafoe, and Mmoh have all risen into the top 10 itf juniors in the world. And I think this is...

Re: 1997-1998 Juniors: Wiersholm, Nava, Kozlov, Tiafoe, Mmoh, Blumberg, Ponwith, etc.

I was really doubting Francis in the last year or so before this month. To me it seemed like his two cohorts were leaving him behind (just a little bit) and that his mental game and tennis IQ were...

Re: 1997-1998 Juniors: Wiersholm, Nava, Kozlov, Tiafoe, Mmoh, Blumberg, Ponwith, etc.

Michael definitely. From what I've seen he mostly uses his athleticism for defense and turning defense into offense. I get the feeling Francis is much more aggressive and more well-rounded.

Re: Stefan Kozlov

He did have a few results where he was blown out in the final set. Like the 6-2 6-0 demolition kozlov put on him recently or the 6-0 3rd set against Coric in the US Open or the 4-0 third set against...

Re: Stefan Kozlov

That's some pretty harsh criticism. I like how blunt he is sometimes. It gives us a better understanding of what the players think each other's strengths and weaknesses are and where they stand...

Re: 1997-1998 Juniors: Wiersholm, Nava, Kozlov, Tiafoe, Mmoh, Blumberg, Ponwith, etc.

I've been trying to be a good student in school by NOT procrastinating on my favorite websites or discussion forums. I still follow all the scores religiously though :p

Not going to speculate as to whether it was a fluke or not but here's how he plays.

Re: Stefan Kozlov

Don't think there's anything to update. Only thing is he's on the acceptance list of Eddie Herr. He's the 5th highest seed behind Zverev, Quinzi, Tatlot, and Baldi.
