Re: 28 years, a terrible age to win a GS?

Surely there's no bad age to win a Grand Slam. If you win a slam who cares what age you are?

Bucharest R1: Garcia-Lopez (5) def Baghdatis 7-5, 6-2

I'm creating a thread for this match as I know you all care deeply about it.

Marcos was serving out the first set and imploded, leaving GL to cruise to victory. Annoying.

Bucharest R1: Baghdatis def. Darcis 6-4, 6-2

Is the Bag back? His first win on clay since 2013.

Seeing as he has no points to defend this clay season he has a chance of slowly climbing the rankings if he puts in more solid displays like this....

Re: Gael Monfils celebration after win over Federer in an endless loop.

I find it hard to believe that those pigs are laughing about a tennis result.

Re: Players who have overcome their biggest nemisis?

On a similar note, Connors led Lendl 13-5 at one stage - and the final H2H between them ended up being 22-13 in favour of Ivan. Despite Connors playing into his late thirties that's still an...

Re: Your Dream Wimbledon 2015 Final?

Dream: Baghdatis vs Federer
Vaguely realistic: Federer against someone he can beat fairly easily

Re: Casablanca R2: Klizan def. Brown 6-4 4-6 7-6(5)

Poor Dustin, he just can't get a run going anywhere recently.

Re: Andy '501' Murray def Dominic Thiem 3-6, 6-4, 6-1

No need to be sorry - it's the truth. He is a player that relies almost completely on stifling opponents, and it's soul destroying to watch.

Re: CH Le Gosier R1: Marcos Baghdatis (1) def. Darian King 7-5 7-6(3)

Very poor match, King completely choked away the first set with Marcos not really having to rise his level much. Wasn't much to enjoy here from a neutral's perspective really.

Bag still looks shaken...

Re: The worst tennis commentator EVER to commentate on a tennis match - Kevin Skinner

Not being able to understand Skinner is a huge advantage when it comes to being able to cope with him. I envy you.

Re: Miami R4: Djokovic def. Dolgopolov 6-7(3) 7-5 6-0

Nonsense. One of the most frustrating yes, dire no.

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 9

You could be right. I admittedly only saw some of the Dolgo implosion so wasn't sure how it matched up.

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 9

To semi-quote Mark Twain, the reports of a Dolgopolov collapse here have been greatly exaggerated.

Re: Miami R3: [26] Verdasco def. [2] Nadal 6-4 2-6 6-3

You could see Fernando battling his demons in this match, so kudos to him for getting through it. From midway through the first set it was clear that this was his match to lose - Nadal was very poor...

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol 8.

"Something has happened to Fernando..."

Have these pundits never watched a Verdasco match before?

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol 8.

If Verdasco ends up losing to this Nadal then he should be deeply, deeply, deeply ashamed.

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol 8.

Pundit 1: "Has he [Verdasco] got the mental strength to win ?"

Pundit 2: "Well he certainly has, yes."

*Sigh* How much do these pundits get paid again?
