Re: Should Nadal play on post-Wimbledon clay ?

Absolutely, good for his ranking, confidence, game. And always nice to add a title her and there. He still needs to catch Vilas's clay title count.

Re: Wimbledon R2: Karlovic def. Dolgopolov, 5-7 6-3 6-4 6-7(4) 13-11

Whoah 53 aces. Apart from the famous Isner-Mahut match and Karlovic himself, has any player ever served more?

Federer & the unthinkable: 350 GS match wins, 40 semis, 50 quarters, 80 slams played

By continuing to play, Federer may damage several of his career statistics. But those are all relative ones, such as win percentages. His absolute stats, on the other hand, can only improve. Such...

Re: Pete Sampras "Letter to My Younger Self"

Lol at how he just had to stress he owned Agassi in Slam finals, and even suggests he should have won the only one he lost to Agassi.

Re: Wimbledon R1: [24] L. Mayer d. Kokkinakis 7-6(7) 7-6(3) 6-4

9th consecutive slam where he wins his first round match.

Re: Djokovic d. Kohlschreiber 6-4 6-4 6-4

Why? Mental strength is also an aspect of talent in tennis.

Re: Nottingham Final: Istomin def. [12] Querrey 7-6(1) 7-6(6)

Re: WWW Wimbledon R1: (1) Djokovic - Kohlschreiber?

Why would you want to bet on that, the odds would not be worth it.

Re: Nottingham R2: [2] Simon saves 3 MP, def. epic choker Granollers 4-6 7-6(3) 7-6(0

Nine winners in just 3 points is exceptional. I've never seen more than 5.

Re: I see Nadal winning Wimbledon or the U.S Open.

Good one. The only other slam rounds they are both undefeated in are AO R1/R2, FO R2, USO R1. In Olympics only R1/R3.
The Cincy final is probably the next important thing they never lost (7-0).

Re: ATP Players Should Call for Men to Play Women

Not this again. Why should match duration matter when it comes to pay? Should marathon runners earn 400 times as much as Usain Bolt? The only thing that arguably should affect prize money is...

Re: 's-Hertogenbosch SF [2] Goffin d. Muller 7-6(4) 6-4

Isn't that what makes people consider a player a servebot, in combination with a relatively poor ground game? I'm not sure if it matters which aspect of the serve they excel at. Either way, I...

Re: Djokovic now 8-8 in slam finals

Is it? It's definitely better than 8-4 or 8-0.

Re: MTF is losing it.

You make some good points. But I'm a Federer fan who highly respects Djokovic's (and Nadal's) talent and achievements. So not all of us are like that.

Re: Did Nadal save tennis?

There are so many if's in the history of the universe and earth. What are the odds that intelligent tennis-playing beings exist on Earth at all?

Re: Let’s put the mental/match-fitness excuses for Nadal to rest: Decline is fundamen

He's almost 29 so even one more slam win from this point on would be a great achievement. Federer won only one slam after he was the age Nadal is now. Chances are he'll regain his form and be a solid...

Re: Madrid Final: Murray def Nadal 6-3 6-2

Nadal's legendary career clay win percentage is going down the drain rapidly. Anyway, I'm sure he'll regain his form later this season.

Re: Is Clayray a genuine threat at the FO?

Of course, what makes you think people were joking in the first place? The FO is essential in Clayray's quest for the Grand Slam.

Re: Nishikori is Blatantly Overrated

He just took 7 games off Clayray. If anything he is underrated.
