Re: Becker: RAFA is favourite to win RG

When Wawrinka was Dimitrov´s age, he had never been past R4 in RG.

Please try to look at playing style and not only results. Nalbandian only reached final in Wimbledon and still had a better shot...

Re: Becker: RAFA is favourite to win RG

I do not believe you can win the French if you have not shown yourself atleast capable of beating one of the top guys on clay. Dimitrov has probably shown himself to be capable of defeating them all,...

Re: Becker: RAFA is favourite to win RG

Raonic before Dimitrov? In what world?

I remember a worse Dimitrov almost beating a better Nadal in Monte Carlo, and he has defeated Djokovic aswell on clay.

I also dont get how Thiem and...

Re: Becker: RAFA is favourite to win RG

Wow, that 67 times the money on Dimitrov is quite nice. I just put 25 dollars there.

Re: Congratulations to David Goffin - finally reaches top 10

Damn, Goffin is a 180 cm dwarf.

Anyways, shorter Nishikori has been in the top 5 for a while. Shorter mr Agassi completed the career slam.

I think Goffin has a good shot at taking advantage...

Re: Which is the current NIDest of NID Match-ups on the ATP tour ?

It does not feel NID, it feels like AMOT (a matter of time), specially after their last match in WTF.

Re: Rotterdam QF: Goffin def Dimitrov 6-4 1-6 6-3

This was a good match, both players played well. Tsonga-Cilic was ofcourse a bit better.

Hope for a Goffin-Tsonga final to compete for a top 10 spot.

Re: Which is the current NIDest of NID Match-ups on the ATP tour ?

Quite frankly I do not understand why we have Nadal-Ferrer up there but not Federer-Ferrer?

Nadal had lost to Ferrer in 2 different slams when he was almost in his peak when the poll was posted.

Re: Muster in today's game, a multi slam winner?

Nope. Muster would have great difficulty winning his single RG title in this generation. He was worse than Nadal on everything, and I see no reason to believe he would be a good matchup against...

Re: Which one of these most deserved to win a slam?

The amount of talent this man had should not be underestimated, only Federer can actually find angles like Nalbandian could, and no one in the game could return as Nalbandian could when he was seeing...

Re: Which one of these most deserved to win a slam?

So? He massively underachieved throughout his career. Take a look at damage done in the 2007 Madrid and Paris master series.

Madrid

Roger Federer
W 16 63 63

Novak Djokovic
W 64 76

Re: Which one of these most deserved to win a slam?

Yeah, right....he would have beaten Djokovic or even Federer in his terrible 2013 form?

Nah.

Re: Which one of these most deserved to win a slam?

Nalbandian because of his ridiculous amount of talent. I do not think it is even close.

Nr2 is Tsonga, nr3 good ole Davydenko.

These 3 players showed again and again that they can beat...

Re: Predict the top 10 in 2018

It is actually pretty easy to jump rankings during transition eras, and we are heading into one hell of a transition era, maybe the greatest (that is to say: worst) ever.

Safin, Hewitt, Roddick...

Re: Predict the top 10 in 2018

To me Coric´s downhill regress is a bit of a mystery. He does not seem to be an unstable character like say Kyrgios or Tomic, I do not know what happened to him since I first saw him at 17.

I...

Re: Predict the top 10 in 2018

To be honest I did not see Djokovic as anything special first time I saw him at 18 in 2005 (unlike Nadal and Murray). Coric reminded me of Djokovic as an 18 year old, so while I did not think he...

Re: Which Next Gen player will have the highest YE Ranking?

I mean at the end of the year. This looks like a big 5 year after the return of Fed and Nadal, and Raonic does not look that good.

When his Wimbledon points slip away we shall see.

Re: Berdych: "My goal remains to win a Grand Slam"

I will say this much:

He got a much better shot at it than Monfils.

Re: Predict the top 10 in 2018

The trend was directing towards the top 10, I remember him defeating Murray 6-1 6-3 as an 18 year old in Dubai.

Who would know he would suddenly be in arrested development from 19 onwards?

It...

Re: Which Next Gen player will have the highest YE Ranking?

Its not because of momentum, it is because 19 is a rapid growth phase, while 21-22 most often it is too late to create a revolution in your game.

Zverev could touch the sky really (or not), I...

Re: Predict the top 10 in 2018

So, we are approaching 2018.

I find it funny more people had Tomic in the top 10 than Federer. Very few had Wawrinka aswell.

I think Zverev was very underestimated.

As things look now, this...

Re: Montpellier Final: Zverev. d Gasquet 7-6(4), 6-3

Great! Zverev is almost alone carrying the weight of the future, that is to say: he is practically the only hope that tennis got a future after the 30+ers hang their raquets.
