Paris 2R: Blake def. Bolelli 67(10) 63 64

Battle of the sex gods (for me at least). Here's to hoping Blake can find a way to the semifinals. For some reason I'd like to see him in Shanghai.

Solid win, keep it up.

Re: Lyon 1st round: Gasquet def Giraldo 57 63 76

Allez. Win the title so you have some saving grace as you bow out next week 1R or 2R.

Re: Quick question: where are the QFs shown on TV in America?

I can't delete this thread? :o MTF is so different from WTAW...

I'm puzzled a blockbuster like Nadal/Gasquet doesn't have a designated time.

Quick question: where are the QFs shown on TV in America?

I know ESPN2 has a two hour block scheduled from 1 PM to 3 PM Eastern time, and it looks like Simon/Cilic will be on delay on TTC...what about the other two QFs?

I'll delete this thread when I get...

Re: Rogers Cup R3: (10) Richard Gasquet beats (5) David Ferrer 6-3 6-3

Why was shot of the day anything other than that match point? TTC. Get it together.

Re: Rogers Cup R3: (10) Richard Gasquet beats (5) David Ferrer 6-3 6-3

match point :worship: :worship: :worship:

I haven't been this pumped about a men's match in ages. Ages ages ages.

My favorite finally has a good result this year. :sobbing: I am so happy. He played...

Re: Richard head-to-heads

Add in his London QF loss to Nalbandian. 64 36 76(3).

He is up a set against Ferrer too...please win. :sobbing:

Re: Toronto 3r: Blake def. Tursunov 46 61 64

Sure, and Simon would be tough too, but he doesn't have to deal with Federer anywhere and probably not Nadal either.

I'm merely pointing out he's got a very realistic shot at this title. Kind of...

Re: Toronto 3r: Blake def. Tursunov 46 61 64

I just realized this...

2r: Blake def. Bjorkman 16 61 62
3r: Blake def. Tursunov 46 61 64
QF: Blake v. Davydenko/Kiefer
SF: Blake v. Simon/Cilic
F: Blake v. Djokovic/Nadal/Ferrer/Gasquet

Has James...

Toronto 3r: Blake def. Tursunov 46 61 64

Almost blew it. I don't like Blake's tennis much, but I find myself rooting for him to win more lately. Don't know why.

Make the semis!

Re: Toronto R3: G. Simon def. J. Acasuso 6-3, 6-4

This year's Chakvetadze on the ATP. Beating Federer trumps beating Venus, though...

Unfortunate, but not unexpected. Lose soon if you can, Gilles.

Re: What Does Gilles Simon Have To Do To Convince Us He Is The Real Deal?

Not suck, namely.

- usual snarky MTF comment, I'm presuming, but that's about what this question boils down to.

Re: Toronto 2r: Verdasco def. Bellucci 16 63 62

Doug Adler! I knew I got his last name.

Both were really uncomfortable playing each other, couldn't play their games. The crowd was dead, and both seemed like they'd rather be anywhere than on the...

Re: Toronto 2r: Verdasco def. Bellucci 16 63 62

That American commentator is hopeless. He makes the most awkward, useless discussion. Namely, when he was talking about how players in the '50s to '70s preferred style over blah blah no one...

Toronto 1r: (11) Verdasco def. Bellucci 16 63 62

Disgusting match. Glad for the victory, though.

Some perks:
- I like that Verdasco is mixing up his groundstrokes more and not bashing the shit out of each forehand he hits
- he IS the most...

I can't log in either.

I have my username/pass stored in my internet thing. But it doesn't let me log in.

Re: ¡Hola UMAG! ¡Vamos Fer!Yeah BABY!

Is this the best season of his career so far?

I am pleased with this result. :)

What is his next event?

Re: Umag Final: Fernando Verdasco def. Igor Andreev 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(4)

:D!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One of the few ATP players I care about finally gets a good result. Not the biggest title, but it's something.

if he does make the top ten, he deserves it slightly more than...

Re: Anyone tired of all those Mickey Mouse tournaments?

Indianapolis used to be such a top notch event...

These events don't bore me too much. Favorites of mine DO win them occasionally....but I usually just ignore them and wait to the next bigger event....

Re: Do you visit XXX sites?

I do blogs and a particular torrent site that is fantastic. So I guess so. But I don't visit the actual sites where you pay to look into that much.

Re: ¡Hola UMAG! ¡Vamos Fer!Yeah BABY!

I take it he plays today against Zverev?

Moya or Fognini in the semifinal would be tough...if he makes it there. :o

Canas or Andreev should be in the final, along with Verdasco. It'd be really...

Re: Top-5 favourite players all time

Dementieva and Sampras--heads and shoulders #1 and #2. The rest? V. Williams, Davenport, and Gasquet.

Three Americans, one French, one Russian. Not bad.
