Re: Smartest player (Highest IQ)

Kind of hard to know unless you know how good players are at stuff like math and logic  I guess with the verbal ability stuff you can kind of tell who might excel based on their communication...

Re: Doha QF: Karlovic def. Djokovic 6-7 7-6 6-4

Gotta say well done to Ivo he was clutch and refused to give in. Novak what can I say, gotta figure something out against these big servers...but nonetheless, looking forward to AO ;)

Re: Nadal's Clay resume alone is better than Novak ENTIRE Career Resume

Weird comparison, and it's not even true. I would rather take Djokovic's career resume with titles on all surfaces as compared to a resume consisting solely of titles on one surface. But why even...

Re: Andy Roddick : "Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are not great entertainers"

Well if I'm watching a pro sport I watch so that I can see the world's best show their skills. Not really interested in seeing someone launch into a childish tirade against an official for 5 mins and...

Re: Let's show some love to the most beautiful shot : Jumping Backhand.

Nalbandian's backhand could produce some jaw-dropping shots. 2005 TMC final was full of so many glorious ones.

Re: Is Rafa too passive on big points outside of RG/clay?

A tweener is a desperation shot hit from a maximally defensive position. Nothing to do with aggression at all...

Re: Is Rafa too passive on big points outside of RG/clay?

I'm not really disgruntled over anything. Saying Novak can be a bit too passive at times is a fair criticism which I would agree with. Calling him an outright pusher is just silly.

So Nadal's...

Re: "Djokovic can rise above his peers without even trying too hard":Agassi

Trying hard has nothing to do with playing style.

Agassi being a shit-stirrer as usual, he should probably focusing on trying harder himself so he doesn't get embarrassed in off-season exhibitions.

Re: Is Rafa too passive on big points outside of RG/clay?

 Don't know why you keep making posts and opening threads trying to perpetuate stuff like this. Everyone knows Djokovic has always been a more aggressive player than Nadal, by any objective...

Re: Rank Murray, Djokovic, Safin, Nalbandian, Hewitt in terms of talent...

Oh the mystery of "talent" on MTF...the most ambiguous concept of all. It seems like a lot of people think talent just means hitting natural strokes and spectacular shots though. Why can't the...

Re: Difference between being the Greatest, Better, Most Successful and Talented pla

I always considered greatest/most successful to be pretty much the same.

I really don't understand MTF in terms of the whole "talent" thing though. It's too ambiguous of a concept, everyone just...

Re: Can a player have a better backhand than forehand?

But you don't have to compare the FH and BH directly and measure them based on the same things. You should look at an individual player's FH and BH and determine how well each does in certain aspects...

If back then the AO wasn't valued as highly and wasn't on the same level competition-wise as the other slams, I don't see how it's fair to take away the AOs won by modern champions who did play...

Re: ~~ GOAT discussions ~~ Vol. 2

Davis Cup should never have really mattered in the GOAT discussion anyway since it's a team event. If you're talking about the GOAT singles player then you should mainly look at individual results,...

Re: Barclays ATP WTF SF: [1] Novak Djokovic def. [4] Kei Nishikori 6-1 3-6 6-0

As a fan of Djoko I'd rather he didn't let himself get affected by crowd support so much...he might as well resign himself to the fact that he'll never the overwhelming support of Nadal/Fed, for...

Re: Barclays ATP WTF SF: [1] Novak Djokovic def. [4] Kei Nishikori 6-1 3-6 6-0

Nishikori did well to take advantage of Djokovic's lapse in the second and played some great tennis. But on this surface he just couldn't keep it up against Djokovic's overall consistency, and he got...

Re: The 20 Greatest ACTIVE SINGLE players

Ridiculous that Cilic is #14 when he should be #8 or #9 at the very least. There's already only a small difference in achievements between his career and Wawrinka's, so how does that justify Cilic...
