Re: Federer sporting beard look

Really? I'm sure that could be cured by Google-Imaging "Roger Federer smiling" :)

Re: What has been the most unreported/underrated story of the tennis season in 2015?

Wasn't Fed conveniently taken out of his path, though? That probably helped.

Re: What does it say that Women's Final has sold out before Men's Final at U.S. Open

1. Serena and possible CYGS.

2. People fearing another Murray/Djokovic final?

Re: Will Federer ever win Monte Carlo and/or Rome?

Ticketmaster is the accredited agent for the WTF: Viagogo is just a re-sale site, where people ask what they like. If people are mugs/rich enough to pay that money, that's their problem.

Re: Winston-Salem R3: PHH def. Bedene 6-3 6-0

Oh, what?! Was he exhausted from putting out Simon, or something? Or is he just following usual British custom?

Re: Is it just me or is Federer looking like the favorite for US Open 2015?

No, it's just you, OP (didn't I say this for Wimbledon, too?). If anything, I think that Murray might be the favourite - although that might presuppose that he doesn't have to meet Federer en route.

Re: stop it about federer winning slams.. its over..

A situation rather less bad than the one he found himself in the previous year, when he still managed to win the one tourney and be runner-up in the other, playing *really* late matches in both, I...

Re: -*-*-*- Cincinatti 2015: 7th Heaven!!! Roger is the Champ! <3 -*-*-*-

Hmm, seems as if my staying out of the thread during the tournament didn't do Fed any harm. Want me to try it again for the USO? :)

Glad to see him win another Masters.

Re: Can fatigue and tiredness be used as an excuse?

Federer's speech to crowd (taken down verbatim, hesitations and all):

"Hello, good evening. I’m sorry here, I’m here in a tracksuit and not in a match outfit. Unfortunately I’m not match fit, er,...

Re: Will Novak Djokovic ever overtake Roger Federer in their H2H?

Presumably will if Roger carries on playing long enough.

:Looks under cushions. Looks under pillow. Looks in the garden shed. Looks in the garage. Looks down rabbit hole. Nope, still unable to find an ulterior motive from OP in posting this.:

Cincy changes scheduling for 2015?

Last year, I seem to recall that I was complaining about the Cincy scheduling giving a major disadvantage to the player in the later half of the draw, with the first SF taking place in the daytime...

Re: WWW:Cincinatti Final - [1]N.Djokovic vs [2]R.Federer

We all know by now how this works out, don't we? Novak looking oddly vulnerable during all pre-final rounds, changes up half-a-dozen notches in the final and wins, albeit after going AWOL for one...

You're not just putting it down to being well-rested, fresh and having shaken the rust off, then?

Re: -*-*-*- Cincinatti 2015: Let's get #7! Cheering thread -*-*-*-

Hoping he'll do well, but it looks as though it's likely to be a tough draw. Does anyone know when he's playing yet?

Re: Did Roger Federer make a big mistake by skipping Montreal?

That's why they call it a calculated risk. Because it *is* a risk. He could go out early in Cincy, where he has 1000 points to defend, and be short on matchplay coming into the USO. But OTOH...

Re: Montreal F: Murray def. Djokovic 64 46 63

Rather expected the result given that Novak had seemed to be out of sorts, nearly losing to a qualifier (admittedly, an M1000 qualifier) in an earlier round and not even having had to face a seed...

Re: Is Murray guaranteed #2 through Cincinnati/for the 2015 US Open?

Glad it wasn't just me who was confused.

Yes, but so does Murray. Remember that rampage through the autumn tournaments in a desperate attempt to qualify for the WTF? Surely he won't play all of...
