Re: Commentary at its finest

Christ, how many times has times has Bradnam said "they broke the mould when Monfils came on"?

He's loving saying that tonight.

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 19

Who's the guy overseeing the Monfils Simon match? The guy with the glasses who used to be an umpire?

Re: Karlovic is a cheat

Since when did a double hit have to be in 2 separate movements?

Another genius post from Federer-Fan.

This result is glorious for tennis

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 19

At least 10% of Djokovic's fans are international. Those international fans will still support Troicki because he's Djokovic's friend

Re: 2015 Live Commentary Thread vol. 19

Troicki is so ridiculously mundane. His only fans are Serbians or Djokovic fans.

Re: "Generation useless" (89-92) - Relevant results in Slams

 You have to be kidding me. Nadal and Federer without a doubt will make children want to pick up a racket but Djokovic and Murray's game styles are dreary as anything.

Re: Wawrinka is playing better than Djokovic right now

Nobody was saying it was obvious before he achieved what he did at Roland Garros.

Theoretically, it could be the same occurrence here.

Re: Dustin Brown: Is that a ball in your pocket, or...

The simple and true answer is that Brown has probably played far more tennis than most without plenty of ball staff, therefore he's probably habitually putting the ball in his pocket like many club...

Re: Wimbledon R2: [Q] Brown def. [10] Nadal, 7-5 3-6 6-4 6-4

 at all the people who kept banging on about how much Sampras would be passed by Nadal and beaten at Wimbledon.

Re: Wimbledon R2: [Q] Brown def. [10] Nadal, 7-5 3-6 6-4 6-4

And to think of the things these Nadal fans were saying about Federer's 2013 season aged 32.

This is hilarious.

If you're a true fan of tennis you wanted Brown to win today.

Re: Wimbledon R2: (8) Raonic d. Haas 6-0 6-2 6(5)-7 7-6(4)

I love how every single time for the last year that Raonic struggles against a lower ranked player that it's blamed on a loss of concentration despite him looking focused throughout and almost in a...

Re: Hewitt's decline

I still don't get you. He was 24 and had played at the highest level for only less than 5 years. Injuries are a huge part of his decline.

Re: Hewitt's decline

This is where your theory fails. It happened suddenly, it wasn't a gradual decline you'd expect to happen naturally.

Re: Does Dimitrov have a shot at the Wimbledon '15?

Dimitrov is 24 and hasn't even reached a Masters Series final. He has only reached the QF or better in Masters Series 5 times

And we really want to talk about slams? 1 semi-final placing in...

Re: Fillipo Volandri is worst ex 100 player on grass ever?

Bellucci is a "great grass court player" and his record is 5-9 so Volandri can't be considered too bad.

Re: Philippoussis is going to play in Newport Qualies!

Why not? I'd agree.

It had been 7 years since Philippoussis dealt with Sampras in straight sets in Australia and he had been through a lot since then, including serious injury problems. He was...
