Re: New Star Wars trailer

I'm not a fan of the old Star Trek series and films, but I see how Star Trek fans feel like he ruined it. I liked the new Star Trek movies more than the originals, but the tone of those films is...

Re: New Star Wars trailer

Just seeing Han and Chewie did it for me, I can't wait for this film. It looks very good, and the fact that Abrams acknowledges that an overuse of CGI is bad is reassuring.
I'm very very excited....

Re: Djokovic - 'I'm at the peak of my abilities'

loads of mumbo jumbo in this thread. Yes Djokovic is as good as he's ever been. He seems close to unbeatable at the moment.

Re: Monte Carlo R3: Monfils def. Federer 6-4 7-6(5)

Great for Gael! Can't watch matches anymore that aren't widely televised, but he must've been good. It would be so great if he can do some damage here and at RG

Re: Is Weak Atheism the most rational stance to take?

I really don't see the need to discriminate between weak and strong atheism. My view is that there's zero evidence for a god, that adding a god to the equation only complicates things more, and I...

Re: How much did you cry at the end of Furious 7?

only saw the first fast and the furious and I was bored out of my skull. Don't like cars, acting was crap, storyline was paper thin etc. It's sad what happened to Walker, but I didn't know the guy,...

Re: How bad current Nadal is? all his conquerors get crushed right after beating him

You are absolutely right. The big guys should all have more fans like you.

OT. Even though I am no fan of Nadal, his form has been horrible for almost a year. Imo this is worse than Federer's 2013....

Re: Xavier Malisse: Federer is fun to watch; Djokovic always plays the same way

oversensitive people here. This is just an opinion of a former pro. Why do so many people get so defensive about this? He likes Federer, some of you like Djokovic, some of you like both. Is Malisse's...

don't know Chung, but he sure did Miami a favour here

Re: Miami R1: Bolelli def Baghdatis 62 62

Painful loss for Marcos this, but it's still good to see Simone do so well this year

Re: Does Raonic's victory over Nadal prove that Sampras would have given him trouble?

I've heard Pete can fly too, that would decide this hypothetical matchup once and for all.

Re: 2015 Indian Wells Final: [1] Djokovic defeats [2] Federer 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-2

unless he is actually a robot, this is quite an achievement imo  I think these two guys always stand a chance of winning when playing eachother, no matter the surface. It does depend on form...

Re: ***Ending on a high note*** The a-ha thread

Great band! Even though I mostly listen to progressive rock and metal, I have always loved these guys. Saw them live in 2008 I think.

Re: Ivan Ljubicic says Djokovic and Murrray are boring

If he means Murray vs Djokovic I agree with him. That matchup is horrible imo. But tbh, offensive Murray and Djokovic are more exciting to watch than Raonic. I miss the Murray that won Olympic gold...

Re: 2015 Indian Wells Final: [1] Djokovic defeats [2] Federer 6-3, 6-7 (5), 6-2

First match I'd seen in full in quite awhile. Djokovic was very good, very aggressive the first set and a half. He got a little tight after that, and Federer took full advantage. The final set was...

Re: Indian Wells R4: Federer def. Sock 6-3, 6-2

His FH is great, no doubt about that, but his serve is not as impressive. I still think Tsonga and Raonic have better FH's than Sock, but the potential is very big with him.

Re: Indian Wells R4: Federer def. Sock 6-3, 6-2

you're a bit too defensive for my taste, but I'll respond anyways. Sock's BH will cost him many matches, so in order for him to beat top guys, he will need to improve in that department...

Re: Indian Wells R4: Federer def. Sock 6-3, 6-2

I guess you are mostly right. I do remember watching a video where an american coach said that it was very common for other coaches to force players into developing a 2h BH. We'll see the result of...

Re: Indian Wells R4: Federer def. Sock 6-3, 6-2

top 10 player? i think that's a bit ambitious tbh. I doubt he will be able to make as big a change to his bh as is required to be a serious threat to top guys.

US tennis should really evaluate their...
