Re: Rotterdam R2: (2) Thiem def. Simon 6-4 7-6 (4)

Court speed has certainly been a factor in his less than stellar start to the season but his own extremely dumb play has also been a big factor. This week he has reverted to playing in the manner...

Re: Have you ever been to a Challenger tournament?

If you are a real tennis fan any professional tournament is worth going to. Personally I have been to one ATP event, two challengers and about 30 futures.

Re: Rotterdam R1: Thiem def. Zverev 3-6 6-3 6-4

Expected result. Thiem is now clowning and not giving a damn in 250s but this was just the kind of match to get the competitive juices flowing again.

Re: 2017 Cheering Thread

Well after an unspectacular but in the circumstances satisfactory Australian Open we now have a what looks like being a very busy February for Dominic with lots of points to defend. He starts his...

Re: Rotterdam Entry List

Perhaps but I don't think it is that big a deal. He mainly treats doubles as a bit of fun and a chance to improve his net game so I wouldn't expect a whole lot of strategic thought to go into where...

Re: Rotterdam Entry List

He has said that he will play a lot less doubles this year and probably won't play them in any major events but he still plans to play doubles sometimes (Brisbane is the only other event where he has...

Re: Davis Cup WG R1: Fognini (ITA) def. Pella (ARG) 2-6 4-6 6-3 6-4 6-2 ITA win 3-2

:woohoo:

A wonderful victory for both tennis and humanity. The Fog magnificently trolling his opponent and the crowd :worship:

Re: Davis Cup WG R1: Edmund def. Shapovalov 6-3 6-4 2-1 Defaulted (GBR def. CAN 3-2)

Disgraceful. Shapovalov should have a ban and Canada should be suspended from the Davis Cup.

Re: Davis Cup WG R1: S. Darcis def. A. Zverev 2-6 6-4 6-4 7-6(8) [BEL def. GER 3-1]

Doubtful that this family of Russian mercenaries care that much about playing for Germany. This was just standard choking from Bratrev.

Davis Cup Euro/Afr G1 R2: Fucsovics def Klizan 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, 7-5 [HUN def SVK 3-1]

Once again the Davis Cup sees the arrival of GOATovics who against all odds leads Hungary into the world group play-offs.

Re: Davis Cup WG R1: S. Darcis def. A. Zverev 2-6 6-4 6-4 7-6(8) [BEL def. GER 3-1]

NID. Vastly better player and considerably superior human being won.

Re: Seppi's disrespectful behavior in an endless loop

Argentinian crowds for Davis Cup ties have a tendency to be very rough towards opposing players. Good on Seppi for treating them with the contempt that they deserve.

Re: Davis Cup R1: Evans def Shapovalov 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 [GBR lead CAN 1-0]

The result was NID but on another day Shapovalov would have probably taken a set. Evans was just super clutch on almost every single big point. If ever a player and his fans can be happy with a...

Re: Burnie F: Jasika d. Mott 6-2 6-2

Omar always tends to play well in Australia. The question is whether he can reproduce this form during long slogs overseas.

Omar was the guy who finally taught Fed how to deal with Nadal's...

Re: Davis Cup WG R1: Pospisil (CAN) def. Edmund (GBR) 6-4 6-1 7-6 (3) (tied 1-1)

Getting routined by Pospisil of all people

Shameful performance from Edmund. Pathetic in almost every aspect of the game.

Davis Cup R1: Evans def Shapovalov 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 [GBR lead CAN 1-0]

Comfortable win for Evans against a very talented but inexperienced opponent. The score could have been a lot closer but Evans was extremely clutch on the big points.
