Re: Montreal R2: Muller def. Monfils 6-3 3-6 7-6(4)

Took a set off Murray at Queens, but yeah, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

Re: Montreal R2: Muller def. Monfils 6-3 3-6 7-6(4)

Deserved win, had a pretty woeful conversion of break points (1/10) and was 2-4 down in the tie-break. But came back in style, some beautiful winners - and a great one to wrap it up!

I was getting...

Another loss after winning the first set :(

Re: Hamburg F: Nadal def. Fognini 7-5 7-5

It's funny, if Nadal's serve had clicked better throughout this tournament, he would have barely lost more than twelve games.

There were some awesome rallies in which it was good to see, as a Nadal...

Re: Washington/Kitzbuhel

So for Mergea/Bopanna something like Murray/Nestor, followed by Pospisil/Sock and then Bryan/Bryan - and if they go through those, they still have to win the final.

How many Grand Slam titles are...

Re: Atlanta SF: Baggy def. Muller 6-7(4), 6-3, 7-6(4)

Gilles, nooo!

At least he's in the doubles final though. And it's never bad to see Baghdatis have a whole week of tennis.

Woah, Muller/Fleming beat Pospisil/Sock!

Re: ROU-SVK 1-2: Martin/Zelenay d. Mergea/Tecau 7-5 6-3 6-3

Maybe they were too cocky, not focused at all - hard to say, I didn't see the match either.

A real shocker though, Mergea/Tecau have had good results in the past and are very familiar with one...

Re: Wimbledon Final: Rojer / Tecau def. J.Murray / Peers 7-6(5) 6-4 6-4

Great result for Tecau, happy for him and Rojer!

Re: Wimbledon 2015

So great for both Mergea and Tecau. Question is: can Mergea finally beat Tecau? And whoever wins, can they take it?

C'mon!

Re: 2015 Tournaments Thread

I didn't watch the match against Brown, but did watch all of Rafa's matches in Stuttgart. He beat Troicki without having to struggle too much (Troicki helped a bit in key moments), and looking now at...

Re: Why there only 6 players from 91' or younger in Top 100?

Probably because few players dedicate the first years of their careers to doubles - playing fifteen or more tournaments, to be able to compare to most top 100 doubles players. So while prioritizing...

Re: Halle R1: (1)Roger Federer def. Philipp Kohlschreiber 7-6(8) 3-6 7-6(5)

Only watched the drama-end, great point from Fed to wrong-foot Kohlschreiber at 4-5, against serve, in the second tie-break. Clumsy shot from Kohlschreiber after that, as was the one that cost him...

Re: Stuttgart F: Bopanna-Mergea def Peya-Soares 5-7,6-2,10-8

Mergea won both singles and doubles juniors titles in grass, so it's time he got some good results on grass in the pro circuit.

Great result!

(score in super tie-break was 10-7)

Re: Rosmalen/Stuttgart

Bopanna/Mergea beat Matkowski/Zimojic 6-3, 6-7 (6), [10-7]

Missed a couple of match points in the tie-break, one of them on serve. But got it done!

Re: London/Halle

There's just such an element of despicability to Nadal. :D

So many singles players doing doubles at Queens, almost half the field. Looking forward to seeing some on Tuesday! :p

Re: Rosmalen/Stuttgart

I don't think he retired because he got the grass matches he wanted in singles, but rather due to spending five hours of play time in consecutive days in those singles matches at 30+ degree...

Re: Nadal reached the first final on grass since 2011.

I think many people were writing Nadal off with the expectation of a second round loss against Rosol.

Bar for the first set against Baghdatis, which was quite woeful, Nadal's level has looked...

Re: Stuttgart QF: (2) Marin Cilic shits past (Q) Mischa Zverev 4-6, 7-6(5), 7-6(4)

Double fault in the first breaker at 5-6 or thereabouts, then misjudged ball at 4-4 in the second breaker, which he let go and it went in. Not quite the stuff of champions from Zverev when it...

Re: Stuttgart QF: [1] Nadal d. [5] Tomic, 6-4 6-7(6) 6-3

Nadal withdrew from the doubles match, I notice.

Re: Stuttgart QF: [1] Nadal d. [5] Tomic, 6-4 6-7(6) 6-3

Pretty good by both players.

Judging by Nadal's on court interview, he might skip the doubles match later?
