Re: Little Stat: Initial GS Final Losing Streaks

Murray's record is pretty abysmal in GS finals. I mean there are other significantly great players like Lendl who were in plenty of Grand Slam finals that they lost, but in cases like that at least...

Re: Why doesn't Del Potro switch to an one-handed backhand?

oh come off it, look at Del Potro's form and his figure and movement- there is no way he has the finesse to consistently hit a solid 1 handed backhanded. and it's not such an easy thing like you...

Re: The myth that Djokovic is an "aggressive player"....

he was obviously a pretty good attacking player early on in his career (watch 2008!) and still occasionally will play in your face 'on the lines' tennis but obviously his key to success the last few...

Re: Ivan Ljubicic says Djokovic and Murrray are boring

I was kind of agreeing with the quote from Sampras up until the point that he he used Dimitrov as is example haha. hopefully those words are a few years old, because Grigor is hardly the 'future'

Re: Ivan Ljubicic says Djokovic and Murrray are boring

I actually found Ljubicic pretty interesting to watch, he had a big game when he was feeling it out there. it is amusing though when posters say things like this, obviously Ivan is far more qualified...

Re: Which top player (excepting your fav) you ....

none of them really, I mean it can be nice to see a top player in form but the relevance of them playing a journeyman in a dominating manner has no effect in my enjoyment- in fact it has quite the...

Re: Milos Raonic: I can only serve because I have no one to practice with!!!

because he had**** no one to practice with as a child

how can someone twist someones words so strongly into a more electrifying OP? its lame

Re: Can Djokovic pass Federer for most weeks at No. 1?

a lot of you are obviously 'young' tennis fans. so much can change in a couple of seasons. beyond just the question of if the competition will step up, there are no gurantees that a particular player...

Re: Can Djokovic pass Federer for most weeks at No. 1?

weeks at #1 is far from a dominant stat when comparing it to GS's. can be inflated by weak era, like currently obviously the youngsters are abysmal and its great that Djokovic has played well the...

Re: WWW? Miami R2: [2] Nadal vs Almagro

obviously based on the H2H you'd expect Nadal in 2 but who really knows, his form can be so up and down of late. I think based on the Indian Wells performance (which was pretty good) that Nadal...

Re: Who will Nadal lose to at RG?

Roy Emerson's predictions are legendary in how wrong they generally are. and he always predicts one thing one year and then says "oh it didn't happen but that just means it will happen next year'....

Re: Does Raonic's victory over Nadal prove that Sampras would have given him trouble?

obviously, but there's no player probably who Sampras wouldn't trouble on grass and HC. it's not as if there weren't plenty of other good players in the 90s when he dominated. I think that Nadal...

Re: Peak Murray vs peak Nadal

if you think Nadal played particularly great in that match then you are crazy

Nadal did not reach his best HC level probably until post 2008

Re: Peak Murray vs peak Nadal

no way, even in 2008 Federer was still a far greater grass court player when comparing performances with anything Murray has ever managed on the surface. obviously 2007 was also during arguably peak...

Re: Peak Murray vs peak Nadal

only one I think Murray has a remote chance at his best against Nadal's best is possibly CERTAIN hardcourts, obviously Murray played insanely well for those few sets in Tokyo that one time. grass eh,...

Re: If Davydenko and Nadal had met at RG?

Davydenko would have lacked the legs. Nikolay was a great mover and obviously sometimes a fantastic ballstriker off the baseline but he didn't move nearly as well as, say, Federer, and certainly if...

Re: Can Djokovic pass Federer for most weeks at No. 1?

Re: Most masters titles when all is done between Rafa, Fed and Nole?

Nadal will end up with the most as long as he wins a few for each of the next few seasons

Re: Official CPR for Masters 1000 and Grand Slams

yeah the ratings are absurd and can't be taken very seriously. based on glancing at the chart, one would think the US Open and the Australian Open play similarly (they don't). way too vague and...

Re: Nadal falls during practice

actually statistically Nadal has played MORE matches off of clay against his rivals than ON. whether its Djokovic, Federer, or Murray- the majority of matches were off of clay. just saying.

Re: WWW? ATP 1000 Miami Open (Draw Discussion)

I heard Nadal tripped and its difficult to win the Indian Wells / Miami double, so I pick Murray to win this event, especially based on his success here in the past

Re: Djokovic's impressive record over Nadal, Federer and Murray on slow outdoor HC

yes, we all know that Djokovic adores insanely slow HC. nothing new here. don't find that impressive, but what I do find impressive is that Djokovic has played extremely well on indoor HC the last...

Re: Maths Prove Nadal>Federer>Djokovic in terms of consistence..

really overall Nadal is obviously more consistent than Djokovic, hence why they both have roughly the same number of losses yet Nadal has 100 more wins or so. obviously OVERALL Nadal is more...
