Re: Rafa put his foot to sleep with injection before Fish match {and Murray match}

He disrupted Delpo's momentum with the timing of the MTO. It wasn't a major injury, he could still stand and the set was coming to an end. It's not against the rules, but it's kinda bending the rules...

Re: Rafa put his foot to sleep with injection before Fish match {and Murray match}

I don't get why this is such a big deal. In the latter stages of a tournament players get aches and pains but generally they get it treated and suck it up so they can play like he's doing. Murray...

Re: Will the loser of the Murray-Nadal clash wait for their opponent to leave the cou

I don't really care either way, tbh. :shrug: Sure, it was nice to see Fed wait (especially considering Jo had the extended victory dance :lol:) but it's not something I really think about. Sure it...

Re: Rafa put his foot to sleep with injection before Fish match {and Murray match}

Does it really matter? He's got a niggling injury, he's getting it treated and he can play fine on it. He can basically take more than a month off after Wimbledon to re-hab it properly but it's a...

Re: Rafa put his foot to sleep with injection before Fish match {and Murray match}

Didn't they trash-talk each other about their pro-evo matches in pressers earlier in the year as well? :lol:

Re: Wimbledon QF: Tsonga beats Federer 3-6 6-7(3) 6-4 6-4 6-4

Jo was amazing, but we've seen him play like that before where he plays lights out tennis that can make anyone look bad - the difference today was that instead of starting the match like that and...

Re: Who has the best shot at upsetting a big 4 appearance in the semi finals?

Fed's playing the most talented and dangerous of the four listed players, and Rafa has what may be a pretty serious foot injury - you kinda have to factor those things in. :shrug:

Re: Rafa's Injury

Slightly different circumstances though considering Delpo is just back from a hip injury and had to get help standing but whatever. I like Rafa, but even as a fan of his I think his MTO could have...

Re: Rafa's Injury

I don't know if anyone was really doubtful about him being injured, more at the timing of the MTO before the TB. And a MRI isn't a big deal - it'll be precautionary. Murray stuck around and played...

Re: Who has the best shot at upsetting a big 4 appearance in the semi finals?

Depends on Rafa's foot. If he's even at 50% I figure he'll beat Fish pretty easily. I can't see Andy or Nole losing to Feli or Tomic, but I suppose crazy things sometimes happen in tennis but still -...

Re: Wimbledon 4R: R. Nadal overcomes JMDP, 7-6(6) 3-6 7-6(4) 6-4

There is zero percent chance of Rafa withdrawing from Wimbledon. If he can walk, he'll play.

Re: Wimbledon 4R: R. Nadal overcomes JMDP, 7-6(6) 3-6 7-6(4) 6-4

I think people acting like Rafa faked an injury are being a little unfair or biased. You can argue that he shouldn't have been allowed a MTO at that stage of the set for a non-serious injury and...

Re: Queens Final Ceremony

There was a pic of both finalists - before the match at the net. I really don't get what you're complaining about - he was interviewed, he got his runners up prize, Murray mentioned how well he...

Re: Queens Final Ceremony

What exactly were they supposed to do? Re-interview him? Not interview Murray? Stop Murray from parading the trophy? I really don't get what the problem is, seriously? In every tournament the loser...

Re: Wimby Q1: Niland def. Ouanna 63 46 86

Connor really deserved a WC straight into Wimbledon and I know Andy Murray was kinda pushing for him to get one, but c'est la vie - the LTA would obviously rather hand another easy pay-day to their...

Re: IW SF: Murray denies Federer 63 46 61

So let me see if I got this straight - Murray fell over, got up, didn't ask for a trainer or take an injury time out, didn't even go to his chair and some people are using that as an excuse as to why...

Re: IW QF: Roddick def. Djokovic 6-3 6-2

I feel really bad for Nole just now - his confidence has went to hell and it doesn't look like he's anything like the player he was in the first half of last year. I don't know what really he can do...

Re: Tsonga WILL BEAT Murray

Actually, the Metz match they played was in October 2007 after Tsonga had been playing for pretty much the full year, but lets not let silly little things like facts get in the way. :yeah: :o

Re: AO QR3: Jamie Baker def. Daniel Koellerer 6:4 6:4

Ah Jamie, he's getting an attitude at long last. Pleased to see him voice what I'm sure many other players were thinking Now if someone could drop Boggo on his head and send him out against Dani that...

Re: Tsonga WILL BEAT Murray

I'm not being hypocritical actually, just speaking based on what actually happened and not something I made up in my own head. NO press anywhere in the world touted Tim as a semi-finalist at the USO....

Re: Tsonga WILL BEAT Murray

Yes, it was a real upset when Tsonga beat 2007 Henman, who had only lost to such luminaries as Lopez (twice), Hernych, Cilic and Isner that year. Who in the world could have predicted that? :rolleyes:

Re: When will Murray get a decent clothing sponsor?

It kinda annoys me seeing so many guys playing with the same style of shirt like we've had recently - as far as I'm concerned anything has to be better than the one size and one style fits all look...

Re: Doha F: Murray def Wawrinka 6-4 4-6 6-2

Kinda wondering about this myself, I haven't been on here for a few weeks but when I left it seemed like it was Nole fans versus Muzza fans. I feel like I've missed a lot...

Re: Gasquet Qualifies for Shanghai!!

Well done, Richie. :yeah:

I'm another who would have rather had Murray there, but I'm really not overly disappointed to see Gasquet there. I'm really pleased for him and will look forward to see how...
