Re: Stockholm R2: Fat Dave cuts Pim Pim's comeback short, crushes him 6-3 6-2

Indoor Dave drops only 5 points on serve the entire match, and 0 in the second set.

Re: U.S. OPEN - time to stop the bleeding?

We saw both the Daniel and Golobev matches live. All Nalby fans should be very excited; he looked very sharp out there. Don't be fooled by the appearance that Golobev was "dictating all of the...

Re: Is Guccione the only one who leads Nadal in head to head?

Anyone besides Gaudio have multiple wins against Nadal on clay? It's 3-3, all meetings on clay, Gaudio winning the first 3 meetings.

Re: Roger should take rest of the yr off from the tour

It seems like the desire's not there. He's going to have find a new source of motivation. Even the Olympics couldn't spark it up for him...

Re: How high can verdasco get this year?

It would not be "the real death of tennis." It would signal a maturation of one of the most talented players in the game. If Blake and Gonzalez can do it, why not Verdasco? One title in the next...

Re: RG R2: Chardy def. Nalbandian 3-6, 4-6, 6-2, 6-1, 6-2

Clearly an injury or some other physical problem cropped up out there for Nalby. The difference between the first two sets and the last three are too substantial for it to be anything other than an...

Re: RG R2: E. Schwank makes it 20 in a row, overcomes M. Granollers 6-7(5) 6-2 6-4 6-

Listen up. This guy's the real deal. He's got a top 20 game, but more importantly a top 10 heart/mentality. First five set match of his career and he outlasts a former #1 grand slam 20 title winner?...

Re: Coria did us proud at Roland Garros!

I saw the whole match, and feel compelled to leave a comment here. Coria played damn well, all his fans should be proud and hopeful, and it made me realize how much I've missed the guy and his...

Re: Dangerous Floaters for RG 2008, yes this means unseeded players

I know I'm pretty high on this guy - maybe without real proof yet - but if Schwank can get by Moya tomorrow, I like him to the fourth round. Ferrero's a seed -okay not a floater - but he also has a...

Re: Il est un rock star........David etait a Roland Garros du 25 mai au 8 juin....

Don't forget that the slams are best 3 out of 5. That's no small factor. Almagro and Wawrinka have never performed well in slams; their one-handers have a tendency to break down over the course of...

Re: Pörtschach R2: Gimeno-Traver thrashes Sam "clay stud' Querrey 6-1 6-3

Gimeno, on the verge of the top 100, withdrew from RG qualies to play this tournament. Good move? Seems to be paying off so far....

Re: Guille Coria def. Peter Polansky 4/6,6/4,6/3

Controlled the DF's as the match progressed...it appears to be purely a confidence issue, for which winning and success is always the cure...if he can put together a good run here, then the comeback...

Re: Eduardo Schwank wins third challenger in a row

While I do care about the Fed/Nadal stuff, I'm with you: It's much more interesting to follow the progress of the rising prospects. Schwank, Daniel Gimeno-Traver from Spain (who is very close to the...

Re: Ratiwatana Twins save Argentinian player Lucas Arnold's wife & child from hotel f

Interesting fact from the Ole article is that Schwank is coached by none other than Javier Nalbandian. Schwank's had a nice and rapid rise in the rankings, from #315 in May 07 to #91 now. Should be...

Re: Rome 2nd round: Ferrero def. Nadal 7-5 6-1

Defending champs don't tank their first match of a masters series event. Too many points to lose. If there's any tanking, it's not coming until the QF's at earliest.

Re: Rome 2nd round: Ferrero def. Nadal 7-5 6-1

Nicely said....For me, this win by JCF makes up nicely for the tough falls today of the two Davids.

Re: Barcelona: Gremelmayr def. Almagro 6-2, 3-6, 7-6(7)

He played the "important" points better. That's usually what separates the top 30 from the rest, and yet he's barely a top 100 (but a riser, for sure)...Down a break twice in the last set, and down...

Re: Barcelona R3: Gremelmayr dumps the blogger Tursunov 6-4, 6-0

Yeah, and he's playing the tougher draw in Barca, rather than the softer one back in Munich.
