Re: Roger Federer wins 4th straight Laureus

Congrats Roger - how great that it is a tennisplayer who alone has won more than 2 of these awards...not to mention that he has won them all back to back :worship:

Re: What is better? The player who gives cliched answers or honest answers irrespecti

I prefer honesty but within limits. I definitely don't appreciate outright rudeness or sore loser-ish comments. I mean sure you're entitled to feel that way, but as a sportsperson I don't think it's...

Re: Al Gore and the U.N.'s climate change panel win the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize

Yeah!

Also, not sure what this has to do with Peace precisely...or why of all the nominees they thought fit to award it to Al "I jump on bandwagons" Gore...

I'm all for taking action...

Re: Ahmadinejad in US

I disagree with this...completely. He was primarily there to speak at the UN where he has every right as a world leader to be present at.

I often find it utter hypocrisy when Bush/Blair or other...

Re: Who's your favourite top 10 player

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Must be coz of his success this year, probably has attracted a lot of new fans!

Oh yeah, I remember that.

Re: Top 5 this year by surface

No...seeing as he's only talking about the ATP top 5 ranked players and their performance on the different surfaces!

Anyway, thanks Stebs.
This is interesting...though not hugely surprising I guess....

Re: Roger's Nike endorsement is expiring

Well...I can only speak from the Nike promotional ads I have personally seen where I live...i.e in Asia and Europe.

In both places generally all the Nike group ads (with multiple athletes) have Rafa...

Re: Roger adds Estoril to his schedule for 2008. Will it help him for RG?

I agree.

I hope it helps. Depending on how he does in Rome and MC I suspect Hamburg will be cut from the schedule though...so hopefully he wont be too tired by RG.

Re: Roger's Nike endorsement is expiring

:yeah:

Yeah I think they will work it out too...it would be pretty embrassing (and silly) to let go of the Tiger of Tennis.

Although...that said...it has always seemed to me that Rafa is the face...

Re: Which Grand Slam event saw the best quality tennis??

Yeah I agree...

Without that appearance by JesusFed, the AO would have been average.

So I go with Wimbledon...all the rain really brought out some stellar performances and truly extraordinary...

Re: Terracotta "WTF" Warriors

Re: The best big match of Roger's career (so far)

Agree with both.

I voted for the final against Hewitt at USO.

I think the QF in USO 2004 against Agassi amd Wimbledon 2007 final are also two of his best big matches...due to what I think they...

Re: At which Slam would you want to see Roger break the record?

Either RG or Wimbledon would be ideal...so if he won RG and Wimbledon in 08...and then reached 15 at Wimbledon the following year, that would be awesome.
Or if he won Wimbledon and something else in...
