Re: Berdych has lost his last 11 semifinals of mandatory events

Of course it counts. Fuck 'mandatory' off. It's a masters tournament.

The reason it's mandatory status was 'taken' was so that American players could get away with skipping it every year to play...

Re: Monte Carlo QF: Djokovic def. Cilic 6-0 6-3

Yup, he'd have been thumped had Nole been in the final, but that's just how life is- the best player over the 2 weeks did the job.

Been quite a few Slam events recently where I feel the winner might...

Re: Monte Carlo QF: Djokovic def. Cilic 6-0 6-3

I don't even like Cilic but love how much it's pissed the snobs off that he won a slam because only players they like should be allowed to have one. Even though he does suck against Djokovic.

Re: The better volleyer: Nole or Rafa?

Nadal easily although his own volleying is a bit overrated.

Re: Monte Carlo QF: Rafael Nadal def. David Ferrer 6-4 5-7 6-2

No he wouldn't- he COULD be a finalist but Berdych and Monfils could both defeat him.

Re: Should Grand Slam award more points?

TBF I can understand why Murray fans would back this, after Wimbledon '13 holding 2 slams, the Olympic points and an MS title for me that's better than what Djokovic held at the time (1 slam, 3 MS...

Re: Should Grand Slam award more points?

Wawrinka and Cilic are the only two unexpected GS winner in 11 years. I mean come on.

Re: Monte Carlo QF: Rafael Nadal def. David Ferrer 6-4 5-7 6-2

Neither player can exactly bot their way through games and especially not on clay, so a break-fest here didn't shock me.

Re: Should Grand Slam award more points?

Yes. 2000 isn't enough. 3000 would be better.

Re: Monte Carlo QF: Rafael Nadal def. David Ferrer 6-4 5-7 6-2

Umpire def Nadal also.

More interesting than expected.

Djokovic wins tomorrow I think

Re: Which player is the luckiest with the draws? [2015 Edition]

Everyone is the correct answer. In a field as shit as this, how many players would you class as a mine' in the earlier rounds? Isner aside.

Re: Monte Carlo QF: Djokovic def. Cilic 6-0 6-3

Boring era, boring tennis. :yeah:

Hope Nole wins tomorrow if it is Nadal SF, though.

Re: WWW ? Monte Carlo SF: (6)Tomas Berdych Vs. (14)Gael Monfils

Monfils hopefully. Been a while since his two Bercy runs. Another MS final on French soil would be a huge boost for him.

Berdych is a waste of time. Him winning this match sets up an ultimately dull...

Re: Monte Carlo R3 : WWW? - Djokovic vs. Haider-Maurer

Surface ability >> ranking anyway.

A great clay courter ranked #25 or a clay clown ranked #3?

Re: Monte Carlo R3: [3] Nadal def. [15] Isner 7-6(6) 4-6 6-3

This is why I don't mind watching Isner- he'll go up against a top dog and he'll be competitive no matter what. Big 3 fans hate him but stick up for weaklings like Ferrer and Berdych cause they bend...

Re: Will Federer win Istanbul?

He'll lose the final from 6-0 5-0 up and the winner will be hailed as the 'Liverpool of tennis'.
