Re: Individual Tournament. Round of 16 set

Too bad about Sarmiento, though I guess it was expected for someone who plays his game better than he does. Also agree on Klahn v Buchanan probably being the best round of 16 matchup. Other good ones...

Re: Individual Tournament

Really interested in Frank v Sarmiento. They are both grinders, right?

Re: It's a 4-peat for the men of Troy!!

Re: 2012 NCAA tournament: National title: Southern Cal vs Virginia

Maybe that rain break helped out USC. Also I wonder if indoors helps Hanfmann since he does like to hit it big, at least from the one time I saw him play.

Re: 2012 NCAA tournament: National title: Southern Cal vs Virginia

Too bad I won't be able to watch the finals. Think it will go either way and the winner will take the doubles point.

Re: 2012 NCAA tournament: Draw released!

Nice win for Pepperdine. Hopefully they have some fight left in them.

Re: 2012 NCAA tournament: Draw released!

UW puts itself in a hole again. It'll be a tight win if UW does pull it off.

Re: 2012 NCAA tournament: Draw released!

Bots played #2 and Egger #3 during the Pac-12 championships. I thought it was strange but there weren't any protests that I know of. The UCLA switch is also interesting. Personally I think Meister >...

Re: 2012 NCAA tournament: Draw released!

Well, I really don't see Washington going past Pepperdine if they get past NC State. I hope Pepperdine does well after what happened last year.

Re: #24 Illinois stuns #3 Ohio State 4-3 to win the Big Ten

Illinois beating OSU is a surprise but by winning 4 singles matches? I guess it had to happen this way since OSU's doubles are really good, but the Illinois' sweep of 4-6 is very impressive.

Re: #5 UCLA stuns #1 Southern Cal with furious rally, 4-3 final

Wow, I'm shocked that UCLA's depth got the job done. Those were some tight matches. If UCLA's 4-6 continues to kick ass, they could take that NCAA title.

Re: 2012 ACC tournament

I always forget how early this tournament is. Guessing it's UVA's to lose once again?

Clemson loses to Wake 4-3. Lost singles 1-4.

Re: USC at UW 1:30 PST today, UCLA at UW 1 PST tomorrow

UCLA 5, UW 2

UW lost a close doubles point [late breaks on #1 and #3]. The #1 doubles was a bit painful since UW got broken when McMorrow double faulted on break point.

In singles Uw and UCLA split...

Re: 9 Kentucky def #3 Georgia 4-3 in Athens,GA

Huge match. Another example of how tight it is between all the teams after USC.

Re: USC at UW 1:30 PST today, UCLA at UW 1 PST tomorrow

Yes, I see that for Sarmiento. Nguyen's aggressive mentality can also be his downfall.

Hanfmann looks so effortless when he plays well. He really should have rolled over Manthou who is our usual #5...

Re: USC at UW 1:30 PST today, UCLA at UW 1 PST tomorrow

USC sweeps doubles and singles.

The only close doubles match was at #1 doubles. Steve Johnson took over at some points. Good serving made the only break for USC at 7 all.

In singles USC took all...

Re: #4 Georgia def #2 Ohio State 4-3

I'm so envious of that crowd. Also, Georgia is really helped by having KU Singh perform at the #2. They have great depth and will be tough to beat at home this year.

Re: Virginia escapes state of Mississippi without a loss

I think college tennis is definitely getting deeper, but also UVA might be feeling the loss of Shabaz and Singh. They used to always take the doubles point. Also Domijan hasn't stepped up. Jenkins is...

Re: Washington 4, Tulsa 3. UW plays Louisville on 3/3 and Tulsa v Louisville on 3/4

Tulsa easy 4-0 over Louisville. Tulsa took the doubles easily. Stiefelmeyer went back to #1 and got beat by De Klerk relatively easily. Tulsa also got wins at #3 (Louisville's #3 fell apart in the...

Re: Washington 4, Tulsa 3. UW plays Louisville on 3/3 and Tulsa v Louisville on 3/4

I feel like they are about as good as last year, which is saying a lot considering four of the players are relatively new (Manthou played a few #6 matches last year). I can't say enough how impressed...

Re: Washington 4, Tulsa 3. UW plays Louisville on 3/3 and Tulsa v Louisville on 3/4

UW beats Louisville 4-0. They decided not to play out the remaining matches. #2, #3, #4 singles were still in progress with #2 in a second set tiebreak, Louisville having won the first 6-2 after a...

Washington 4, Tulsa 3. UW plays Louisville on 3/3 and Tulsa v Louisville on 3/4

Just got back from the UW v Tulsa match. Great win for UW.

Doubles went to Tulsa, who won #1 & #2. UW won easily at #3 and Tulsa the same at #2 [hit many balls hard down the middle]. UW made a mini...

Re: 1 Southern Cal def 3 UCLA 6-1

Surprising to see that Gomez lost at #4. I was under the impression that he was an absolute stud. Oh well.

On the other hand, Nguyen is having a better time starting the year at #3 than he did last...

Re: Stanford Men's team to WIN it all this year in 2012

I don't think this year's team is much better than last year's team. I can't seem to trust Lin for some reason and they have shown early on that they need a healthy Klahn or the rest of the lineup is...
