Re: 2013 to Present Photo Thread

Thanks for the photos, Monkey.
I was expecting to see reports of Marat in Sochi but perhaps he's not attending....surprising

Re: USO Final: Murray beats Djokovic 7-6(10) 7-5 2-6 3-6 6-2

Great post, Scoobs.

Great match from Murray - lots of guts and heart (from Novak too which is what made the match so compelling).
Some of the bitter, small-minded comments here are beyond...

Re: 2012 Photo Thread

Thanks so much for posting all the photos, Monkey.
Am I alone in thinking that Marat is looking too gaunt in the face in some of later pics? I think he's been spending too much time indoors and...

Re: 2011 Photo Thread

Oooh, thanks for posting the photos.

Re: News & Articles Part 3 - The Return of the Yeti

Good for you - I could not agree with you more... those demonstrators were indeed courageous.

Re: 2011 Photo Thread

Yes, I wonder about the influence of all this politics stuff on Marat's dress sense! Still, good to see him around - thanks for posting the photos!

Re: Dinara Part 2

You never know...she might be back. Let's hope she doesn't follow her brother into politics - still can't get my head round that

Re: Dinara Part 2

It certainly sounds like Dinara won't be returning to the circut, but I wonder if she really wants her brother making the announcement for her? Poor Dinara...

Re: Andy Murray - What is his gameplan in major semis and finals?

I agree with the comments about Murray needing to go for his shots at key moments more. He does seem to have an inability to 'pull the trigger' when Nadal, Federer, Djokovic etc don't seem to have...

Re: THE GATHERING OF THE SAFINHOLICS Part 9

I'm probably going to regret posting this, but here goes... just what, exactly, is the definition of 'trolling'??? I was wondering to myself whether recent posts fitted the definition...me thinks it...

Re: Any other Fed fans slightly glad he lost?

Excellent posts...couldn't agree more. Some people here need to get a grip and maybe start appreciating the tennis rather than their fanatical support of particular individuals

Re: 2011 Photo Thread

Yes, I'm not surprised either...I miss the old days of this forum too, although I joined (having lurked for a while) around 2005...those were the days!

Re: Dinara Part 2

This is waaaaaay off topic but just a random observation....the woman in the back of the photo behind Dinara looks like Dasha Zhukova, perhaps it's just me who thinks it's her?

Re: USO FINAL 2010: GOAT Nadal def. brave Djokovic 6-4 5-7 6-4 6-2

Of course Nadal is required to appear...no surprise there. Some people cope better with speaking in a language that isn't their own than others - or do you doubt that he's not totally fluent in...

Re: USO FINAL 2010: GOAT Nadal def. brave Djokovic 6-4 5-7 6-4 6-2

I agree, he's certainly not comfortable in the media spotlight. I'm no great Nadal fan but I find it quite endearing in this day and age to see someone who has been in the (tennis) news headlines for...

Re: U.S. Open Livescoring & Commentary Thread

Ludicrous that this match didn't start at 2pm - would have suited N.America and Europe (not so great for Asia Pacific)and there was a chance of finishing it before it rained.

Re: U.S. Open Livescoring & Commentary Thread

It's raining fairly hard still in Brooklyn but it does look a little brighter than it was. think the weather is moving east so hopefully it won't be too much longer...

Re: Nadal vs Djokovic USO Final postponed for Monday..how much does it affect the out

Well, if that's true (and it's a big 'if')I can see why he might expect a later announcement. What's the point of having night lights if you don't use them??
