Re: If Nadal wins FO 2015, has there been a more impressive GS victory?

I really wouldn't be a big deal. Nadal is still second favourite to win RG. Outside of the most delusional Rafa-haters, noone would be particularly surprised if he won it. Bet against him at your own...

Re: Can Federer beat current Nadal on clay?

No way. Nadal goes into robot mode whenever he sees Federer on the other side of the court. The game plan is ridiculously simple but just works. Huge loopy topspin shots to the Federer backhand until...

Re: Will Federer & Nadal ever meet again?

Of course.

I'm sure they will play a ton a "legends" matches for huge bucks after they both retire.

Re: Fed/Nadal at Rome 2006

I don't think anyone is claiming that Federer is better than Djokovic on clay these days, but he certainly was for a very long time. Without Nadal, Federer would have been the big favourite to win RG...

Re: Fed/Nadal at Rome 2006

I still feel like that match was a bit of a turning point. Sure, Federer was struggling with Nadal from the very beginning of their "rivalry" in 2004, but after that Rome match it was like Nadal...

Re: Brad Gilbert says it will be a joke if RG doesn't put Nadal as minimum No. 2 seed

Doesn't really matter all that much. If Rafa rediscovers his clay peak, he would win RG, even if he had to go through qualifying. If he gets back to a decent consistent level, he is beating everybody...

Re: Which 1 GS winner surprised you the most?

This. Winning for the first time at such an advanced age against a player that he had never beaten in loads of tries.

At least Cilic has the type of game that can overwhelm you if he hits his...

Re: WWW Monte Carlo R2: Rafael Nadal- Lucas Pouille

I'd say that if Nadal gets off to a good start, he has a real shot at winning this match.

Re: Nadal's streak consecutive weeks in ATP Top 5 is under threat

This clay season is gonna be very interesting. Can Nadal win Monte Carlo as usual and regain his mojo? Even going into the clay season playing badly, Nadal is still very hard to beat on the dirt. If...

Re: Can Djokovic pass Federer for most weeks at No. 1?

I think he is too reliant on his amazing physique to stay at #1 for 3+ years from now on. But I wouldn't rule it out due to the lack of obvious contenders younger than him (which is crazy given how...

Re: Does Raonic's victory over Nadal prove that Sampras would have given him trouble?

To those that say that Sampras would CRUSH Nadal on fast surfaces, have you all forgotten how Sampras approached his matches? Sampras didn't CRUSH his opponents - at least not scorewise. He simply...

Re: Play to win 2 points vs Nadal for 1 billion Or take 300k.

I'd play. There is absolutely no way that going for broke on everything wouldn't win me at least 2 points in what is 100% certain to be a 0-6 0-6 loss in about 20 minutes.

Re: Simon: 'If you ask my coach who has the most talent, Roger or Novak, he'll hesita

Great interview.

He misses one key aspect of "talent" though, and it is whether things come easy to you or you have to work hard for it.

For all of Federers finesse, grace and mastery of every shot...

Re: 2015 FO will be Rafa's real test...

Indeed! History has proven time and time again, that when a tennis great, who usually wins a particular slam, suddenly loses, that's a sure sign that he is done and will never win another...

Re: In which categories will Djokovic surpass Federer?

Below is for SURPASSING, not equalling!

Very likely (>80%):
Masters titles

More likely than not (50-80%):
Slam quarters

Less likely than not (30-50%)
Slam semis

Re: Best DTL forehands

Another vote for Nadal from a non-Nadaltard here. It's an incredible shot and one that he uses with extreme efficiency in combination with his usual crosscourt forehand.

Sampras: His crosscourt...

Re: Djokovic vs Nadal on hard courts - is it really advantage Djokovic?

It doesn't matter one tiny bit that Nadal defeated a "prime" Federer iat AO2009. Everybody knows that Nadal owns Federer everywhere outside of genuinely fast low-bouncing surfaces (meaning mostly...

Re: It baffles me that some people place Edberg over Becker.

Becker > Edberg.

I believe some people are putting Edberg ahead of Becker, because they preferred Edberg's game (and even personality). I prefer Edberg as well - by a MILE even, I never liked Becker...

Re: Who else wants to pound that @2.10 odds on France?

It's more a case of:

- Federer possibly not even being able to compete and definitely not playing doubles
- Wawrinka faltering under the pressure
- France having home courts
- France actually having...

Re: Nadal to get stem cell treatment for his back

Possibly, but surveys have shown something like that to be true for a lot of elite athletes. When asked whether they would literally give their life to achieve some grand amazing accomplishment...

Re: Is Federer playing as well as he ever has before?

Yeah, that is just mindblowing.

Federer in 2011 was nowhere near his 2004-05 level.

Re: Federer: I don't understand Nadal's choices

Federer is right. It really should be obvious to everyone, whether you are a Nadalfan, a Nadalhater or something inbetween, that he should have opted to have surgery immediately. He was risking his...

Re: Will Nadal win RG 2015?

Yes.

Even a sub-par Nadal is next to impossible to take out at RG. Unless he downright sucks or is injured, it is pretty much only Djokovic who can do it.
