Re: Has Federer screwed himself for 2015?

The only problem I see is that he is playing Davis Cup final and then exhibitions in India in December. This might bring him into AO not as fresh and ready as he likes to be. It reminds me of his...

Re: Has Federer screwed himself for 2015?

It's silly to say he will have a crap load of points to defend over a full year. All the 2014 points will be off for everyone at the end of 2015. Should players hold back their performance and...

Re: Gulbis: "I went with my cousin to gamble away my prize money. I was a big loser"

is this the same Ernests Gulbis who just said that a gluten FULL diet (fries, mayo) was the reason for his recent success? The one who said that going down 1 set 5-3 to Roger was part of the plan?...

Re: Prediction: Djokovic will fall to number three and will have SLAMLES SEASON

Would have been more interesting if you had made such a prediction before the season started when he was riding a 25 match winning-streak.
Seeing an early defeat at his favorite Slam and extending...

Re: Is Federer Ruining his Legacy?

Yes. It's a bit like Michael Jordan: fans only remember him as a mediocre Washington Bullet who could never make the playoffs... and have forgotten all about his 6 NBA titles, all his scoring, MVP...

Re: RG seedings based on clay performance?

What is the formula applied to Wimbledon? Could the same be used for RG?

Re: IW R4: Federer tries to tank, Wawrinka says no; 6-3 (4)6-7 7-5

What would you do against your own master, not bend over?

Re: The best ticket in tennis?

I wonder if the addition of the 8,000-seat stadium (I hear) is a good thing from a fan's perspective. Assuming it's a reserved court, your ground pass gets you to fewer matches. Because all tickets...

Re: The best ticket in tennis?

I'd agree but then the weather disruptions make it a bit of a gamble still.

The best ticket in tennis?

So many good matches at IW today; the whole draw is playing.
Is it near to the best ticket in tennis?
Compared to say.... 2nd monday at Wimbly, or semi's at the USO?
I don't know what the facilities...

Re: And... Who is king lob???

I dont know the exact answer to the thread question, we don't seem to see so many good lobs these days,
but I remember a match of lob mastery....
and that was Chang against a-bit-older McEnroe at the...

Re: IW R4: Federer tries to tank, Wawrinka says no; 6-3 (4)6-7 7-5

Was semi-interesting how the ref called the bigger ref to make a decision when Roger was bitching on a challenge. Anywho.
Also, Roger hardly celebrated the win, a la when Errani romps Vinci.
I reckon...

Re: Who is better? Dodig or Zemlja?

Yet Granollers (the discreet and unknown Spaniard) is ranked 33 and has earned over $4m on the pro tour (turned pro 03 only a year before Dodig) so he might be considered a step up?

Who is better? Dodig or Zemlja?

Dodig is ranked 60th while Zemlja is 61st, but it's unclear to me who might be the better the tennis player here.
Both guys are right-handed. Both mofo's turned pro in 2004 and haven't done anything...

Re: Why are teenagers struggling to break through?

Someone who knows nothing about tennis wouldn't bother to ask. Someone who knows about tennis already knows the answer.
So now what?

Re: Players & Betting odds

I remember Courier asked Fed if he saw the Djoker-Wawrinka match in Australia, and Roger said he couldn't believe the odds were like 1/1000 before the match (I can't remember the exact odds, but very...

Re: GOATbis's ranking by the end of the year?

He'll be top 20. He says he's in it to win it now.

Re: WWW Buenos Aires SF: Wawrinka - Almagro

This is a rematch of last year's SF, which Almagro took 7-5 in the 3rd. But then Stan beat Nico on the clay of Monte Carlo, 63 63. Expect a similar result.

Re: Janowicz criticizes Federer and Djokovic's attitude

'How many times' did he actually get a close call on that line in Australia? Does anyone know?
Did Jano get this traumatizing question answered?

Re: novak djokovic endorsements potential

I consider Nole a legend of the game because he actually ate some of the grass of Wimbledon. Not too many greats can claim that.

Re: Australian Open Men's Singles Draw (in just over an hour)

I hope Tomic falls opposite Murray, so he doesn't bump him for headline matches and scheduling.

Re: Who is the Real King of Grass: William Renshaw vs Roger Federer?

Renshaw edges Federer here as King of Grass due to his tally of 6 doubles titles and the disadvantage of having to play the finalist as 1st round.
