Re: ESPN Experts' picks - French Open

RBA as a darkhorse is even stranger than the Murderer winner picks.

Re: The AO 2012 final in retrospect

Bit overrated. Dramatic match, but very physical Pong-esque rallies and a lot of the points ending in unforced errors rather than winners. Djokovic-Murray match-up gets a (justifiably) bad rep, but...

Re: Hilariously non-PC article about Wawrinka on RG site

So he's going from a cougar (Ilham) to 18-year-old teen Vekic. He certainly likes a challenge.

Re: Nice Final: Thiem def. [4] Mayer 6-7(8) 7-5 7-6(2), wins 1st title

Thiem is great fun to watch. Talented shotmakers doing well is always a good thing for the sport

Re: The Thiem hype is too much, why not hype the player who is actually winning thing

Thiem has far more in his game than Vesely, this is not even up for debate.

Re: Is this Clayray's chance to win the FO?

I expect him to take care of Ferrer but even a straight sets win over him will take 3 hours + and be a taxing contest, so he won't have much of an energy advantage over the other QF winner in a...

Re: Nice SF: Mayer def. Coric 6-4 6-3

Dimitrov's attacking game has actually regressed in the last year and a bit.

TBF I didn't notice anything particularly stand out in him either when I saw him at Coric's age. Nice game/watchable but...

Re: Nice SF: Mayer def. Coric 6-4 6-3

I'm not writing him off. I just don't see where the hype is. From previous players who DID go on to be big, you could see something in them at his age. I see plenty of fighting spirit and dedication,...

Re: Nice SF: Mayer def. Coric 6-4 6-3

As teens:

Kyrgios- 2 slam QFs
Nadal- RG
Becker- Wimbledon
Chang- RG
Gasquet- beating peak Federer in Monte Carlo
Murray- beat peak Federer in Cincinnati as a teenager and reached 3 Masters...

Re: Noel-Rafa potential QF on June 2nd?

Dunno but the match would be on this man's racket:

Re: Kuerten:"Rafa is very open minded, one person very sincere, a great human being"

Always great to hear from this legend and RG makes me only miss him more. :yeah:

Re: Roland Garros 2015: Who will make the final from the bottom half?

If Djokovic thought Wimbledon 13 final crowd was hostile (and for a Wimbledon one, it certainly was) if he faces Monfils in the final that crowd will want his blood. They won't allow him to stop...

Re: Nice SF: Mayer def. Coric 6-4 6-3

Not suggesting he should win one, but watching his level of play I see little there to get hyped about. Solid baseliner, fights hard, that's it. Will probably take him quite high in the rankings but...

Re: Nice SF: Mayer def. Coric 6-4 6-3

Plenty of teens have done more than Coric has in that age period.

He's nothing to write home about.

Re: Roland Garros 2015: Who will make the final from the top half?

I'll say Nadal.

Any physical advantage Murray gets for the SF would be quite limited, even when he beats Ferrer comfortably scoreline-wise it's still a long match in terms of duration

Re: Roland Garros 2015: Who will make the final from the bottom half?

I hate LeFraud but he needs to do the business and he owes the Cavs fans big time by winning a title.

Re: Roland Garros 2015: Who will make the final from the bottom half?

Hopefully any of Tsonga, Nishikori, Wawrinka or Monfils. Could see Federer doing it though somehow.

Re: RG 2015: Main Draw & Discussions

Hopefully the Djokodal QF breaks Santoro-Clement's record and neither of them can walk at the end.

Re: RG 2015: Main Draw & Discussions

Nadal is no longer the 2nd best player in the world and the sooner Nadal fans (and some Djokovic fans) realise this the better. This is not 2011 anymore where they should be automatically entitled to...

Re: Fixed draws theories confirmed Dead?

the Isner-Mahut 2 years in a row and then being drawn as possible 2nd round there should indicate that there is dodginess going on.

US Open draws have been quite favourable to Americans in the past...

Re: RG 2015: Main Draw & Discussions

No I mean they're easy opponents not only to beat but to actually get into a rhythm against as Nadal will dictate the points against either player.
