Re: What are your hopes for the rest of Marcos' career?

Doubt that he will return back to previous form. Hopefully he can manage a few more good tournaments.

Re: 2011 Australian Season + Rotterdam and Dubai

Baggy retired with a flu and fever apparently while down 0-4!!!

I hope he gets well soon and prepares for the Masters series in March.

Re: Federer became a whipping-boy in finals

He's closing in on the big 30 and hasn't taken a break from the tour for years since he was also fortunate enough to not sustain a serious injury. Every career declines and comes to an end.

Re: Articles, News ...

Interesting article here. Baghdatis claims that it was tiredness that cost him the loss to Clement and that from now on he will choose the tournaments he plays wisely for a change.

Re: USO R1: Clement def Baghdatis 6-3 2-6 1-6 6-4 7-5

You cost you $100 because you placed a bet on him and lost. If you don't like a player don't place bets on him. You make your own decisions and your own losses. Take responsibility for your bad...

Re: US OPEN R2: Selfish Söderling defeats Dent 6-2 6-2 6-4

People keep comparing players to Nadal and Federer thinking that anyone without their achievements is a failure. That's ridicuous. Nadal and Federer are the exceptions because of their extraordinary...

Re: US OPEN R2: Selfish Söderling defeats Dent 6-2 6-2 6-4

He only reached his full potential last year and he is number 5 now. He'll never be a Federer or Nadal but his attitude change was helpfull. I prefer a selfish arrogant winner than a pathetic choker...

Re: US OPEN R2: Selfish Söderling defeats Dent 6-2 6-2 6-4

Tennis is not about humbleness and being nice. Leave that for mother Theresa. Tennis is about winning and Soderling knows how to win.
Unless something unexpected happens we'll watch a...

Re: Is Baghdatis actually a good player?

Yes definitely a loss in a US Open 1st round against a rookie like Clement proves beyond any doubt that Baggy is not a good player. Federer, Nadal and any decent player never lost in the first rounds...

Re: Is Baghdatis actually a good player?

Clowns have a red nose so he can't be a clown :p

You probably weren't watching tennis in 2005-2006 to say that.

Also not everyone is going to become like Federer and people are better off...

Re: Is Baghdatis actually a good player?

Baghdatis greatest weapons were his fighting spirit, the flat first serve and the shot making. Then his fitness went south, he made some horrible professional choices and the result was ugly. Now he...

Re: Is Baghdatis actually a good player?

It's not that he doesn't have any weapons, but he has anti weapons. Like making wrong choices, playing a lot of tournaments, not having plan B etc.

Re: USO R1: Clement def Baghdatis 6-3 2-6 1-6 6-4 7-5

He promised the New Haven organisers that he would attend this year after they gave him a WC last year and he did attend. Now any player with common sense would tank from the first match and head to...

Re: New Haven QF: Baghdatis vs Stakhovsky 7-5 1-6 6-7(4)

He played this event to keep his word after they gave him a WC last year and it's good that he lost because his USO draw is not bad and he can get far if he gets some rest.

Re: New Haven R2: Baghdatis def. Chela 1-6 6-3 6-2

Stackhovsky or Robredo will probably beat him tomorrow unless he really wants to win this tournament for some reason.

Re: New Haven R2: Baghdatis routines Andreev 6-2 6-4

I think he will play without trying too hard or wasting a lot of energy but won't tank on purpose.

Re: New Haven R2: Baghdatis routines Andreev 6-2 6-4

The only reason Marcos decided to play in New Haven this year is because he promised the organisers last year that he would do so, when they were one of the few to give him a wild card when he asked...

Re: Federer Crushes Bagman 6-4, 6-3 and stays no.2

41% 1st serve in for Baggy. No chance against a top 5 player serving like that. Federer served amazingly and remained focused.
