Re: Sampras vs Nadal

historically probably hardcourt is the least prestigeous or relevant of the three surfaces if we're basing it on the origin of the sport and the most valued tournaments over time. that said,...

Re: Sampras vs Nadal

I still would put Sampras ahead of Nadal due to weeks at #1, overall dominance of his era (he was undoubtedly the top dog), and the Master's Cup. that said, I don't think its fair to weigh the WTF...

Re: J. McEnroe:"[Kyrgios] He'd be well served to look at the guys like Nadal"

pretty much every pro player has been quoted as saying they actually like Nadal. some will mention they don't like how fucking slow he plays sometimes, but most say they think he is a nice guy and...

Re: WWW: US Open R1: Nadal vs. Coric

Coric who's lost in the first or second round of the majority of events he's played this year? Coric can lose to anyone and lacks weapons. this will be a demolishment with Nadal winning in 3

Re: Another day in America: two journalists killed live on air

apples and oranges. your comparisons don't make sense. the direct analogies for taking away guns from law abiding Americans because of a criminal with a gun would be: firing all of the teachers...

Re: Another day in America: two journalists killed live on air

I understand your angle for sure. people generalize the USA though- like act as if its overbearing on so many 'unsafe' freedoms. I find it curious, your Australian thing about alcohol when in the USA...

Re: Another day in America: two journalists killed live on air

well Buddyholly I wasn't speaking on Canada, but most people in the USA who are at all socially skilled are aware of places and people from which they could obtain these sort of things 'under the...

Re: Robby Ginepri retires from tennis

he used to be pretty good actually, ala 2005. so many injuries though. really feel for the guy, hasn't played healthy or to his level for almost a decade. that's tennis for you, breaks down some...

Re: WWW: US Open R1: Nadal vs. Coric

this should be pretty easy for Nadal. probably his favorite hard court tournament in the season against a player who has no weapons. might be a slow start in the first set but I'm confident Nadal...

Re: Nadal refuses to play doubles with Nick Kyrgios at charity event

is it Nadal's job to be friends with all of the new players on tour? I don't think so :wavey:

Re: Nadal refuses to play doubles with Nick Kyrgios at charity event

what do you expect the guy to do? let someone win a point when they've broken the rules at a big part of the match? let's get real. also NO ONE will play a charity even with Kyrgios right now, that's...

Re: Federer actually have 9 distinct Masters

if you want to play by those rules then the same would apply to Nadal

he won Hamburg before it was downgraded, won Paris/Madrid back in the day too

Re: Another day in America: two journalists killed live on air

just watched the videos though, really terrible and heartbreaking.

something was clearly mentally wrong with this fellow, to be so cold.

that said, if he didn't have a gun you get the impression...

Re: Another day in America: two journalists killed live on air

make no mistake, in any country in the world its easy to obtain a gun in the black market

the only people claiming that the US gun policy is the problem are ones who haven't done their research....

Re: Another day in America: two journalists killed live on air

that's the thing- gun control is as effective as prohibition was in the 1920s in America (its not). prohibiting something like guns in the end only hurts the law abiding citizens who would use...

Re: Another day in America: two journalists killed live on air

you're either not very educated or just don't do research if you think gun control actually works in larger countries with tons of space and population. do yourself a favor and look at any countries...

Re: Another day in America: two journalists killed live on air

what a stupid naive comment

one individual doesn't represent a country. and if you think this sort of thing isn't happening on the regular in other big countries then you're just delusional, blind,...

Re: Who out of AM RN ND JMDP will end their career with the most USO titles?

yeah, its hilarious anyone claiming anything about 'luck' Us Open draws or whatever. you get what you get, sometimes better, sometimes worse, depending on the type of player and who you are in terms...

Re: Djokovic was 6-0 in Finals vs Nadal in 2011; but 6-4 vs some others in 2015

I don't recall anyone stating (besides some crazy fans of his) that Djokovic is better now than he was the last few years. he's just solid like always. its the rest of the guys, the tour, if anything...

Re: Why is no one talking up Nishikori?

hard to consider Nishikori underrated around here when he just isn't a great prospect to win many big events. he's got the good, the talent, but that's useless if its a player with a body that breaks...

Re: Why is no one talking up Nishikori?

Nishikori has had probably more injury problems this season than others, and he has had a lot in other seasons as well

the reason no one is 'talking up' Nishikori is that he is so prone to...

Re: Ferrer creates his ultimate tennis player

Federer doesn't have the speed of a Ferrer or Nadal, and arguably his footwork isn't always quite as good. he's obviously very natural in placing himself well though and super light on his feet....

Re: Federer's new service box return strategy?

you don't know what you're talking about- to effectively rush in like Roger is doing on returns means that you are meeting the ball, in many cases a pretty fast serve, much earlier and will need...
